  • Patent number: 10525968
Abstract: In a method for controlling a drive system (3, 203) of a hybrid vehicle (1, 201), a performance-oriented mode or a consumption-oriented mode can be selected for the drive system, whereby, when the consumption-oriented mode is selected, in the case of a first condition, the method involves: controlling the drive system in a parallel boost hybrid mode of operation in which the internal combustion engine (5, 205) and additionally the first electric machine and/or the second electric machine delivers a drive torque until a criterion is met that depends on the duration of the operation and/or on the energy conversion in the parallel boost hybrid mode of operation, and if the criterion is met, changing over to a serial hybrid mode of operation in which the drive torque is delivered by means of the second electric machine (11, 211), and the internal combustion engine (5, 205) powers the first electric machine (9, 209) in order to generate electrical energy.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for controlling a drive device (3, 203) of a hybrid vehicle (1, 201), wherein a performance-oriented mode or a consumption-oriented mode can be selected for the drive apparatus, wherein the method for a selected consumption-oriented mode in the case of a first condition comprises: controlling the drive device in a parallel boost hybrid operation in which the internal combustion engine (5, 205) and additionally the first electric engine and/or the second electric engine brings about a drive torque until a criterion is fulfilled, depending on the time duration of the operation and/or the energy conversion in the parallel boost hybrid operation, and in the event the criterion is fulfilled, switching to a serial hybrid operation in which the drive torque is brought about by means of the second electric engine (11, 211) and the internal combustion engine (5, 205) drives the first electric engine (9, 209) for generating electrical energy.

  • Patent number: 8825244
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus (9) for operating a hybrid vehicle with an internal combustion engine (4) and an electric motor (5), the internal combustion engine (4) is started automatically in a readiness to drive mode of the hybrid vehicle (1) as soon as it is no longer detected reliably that the driver is present.

  • Patent number: 8506453
Abstract: A method for operating a torque-transmitting system, which is coupled on the input side to an output shaft of a drive assembly and on the output side to an input shaft of a transmission. A torque flux from the drive assembly to the transmission passes via the torque-transmitting system. The torque-transmitting system includes a hydrodynamic torque converter via which a hydraulic path of the torque flux passes, a converter lockup clutch which is arranged functionally in parallel with the torque converter and via which a mechanical path of the torque flux passes, and a control unit which controls distribution of the torque flux between the hydraulic and mechanical paths in such a way that a predetermined overall torque profile is established at the input shaft of the transmission.

  • Patent number: 8494701
Abstract: In a method and a device (8) for operating a hybrid vehicle (1), the internal combustion engine (2) of the hybrid vehicle is started automatically in case the hybrid vehicle (1) is in a ready-to-drive mode and an opening of an engine covering (4) of the hybrid vehicle is detected.
