  • Publication number: 20130123612
Abstract: A surface coil for an imaging system includes a spine coil array that includes a plurality of coil elements. The surface coil also includes a cardiac coil array including a plurality of coil elements. The spine coil array and the cardiac coil array are both arranged in the same housing.

  • Publication number: 20130021035
Abstract: A local coil for a magnetic resonance tomography device includes an elastic antenna support part with several antennas and an electronic part with electronic components connected to the antennas via supply lines. At least one part of the electronic part is located outside of the antenna support part.

  • Publication number: 20120187950
Abstract: A printed circuit board (PCB) is flat, providing a top side and a bottom side. A plurality of terminations is disposed on the top side in proximity to one end face of the PCB. Each termination has at least one contact that is connected to a respective conductor track of the PCB. The respective conductor track is connected to a respective local coil or to a contact disposed on the top side or the bottom side of a respective further termination. The local coil and/or at least one of the further terminations are disposed in proximity to the other end face. A basic shield impervious to frequencies in a magnetic resonance range is disposed on the top side and/or the bottom side, and an auxiliary shield electrically connected to the basic shield and impervious to frequencies in the magnetic resonance range is disposed on narrow sides of the PCB.

  • Publication number: 20120025830
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a local coil for a magnetic resonance tomography system. The local coil extends in a first direction and in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The local coil has a plurality of coil elements. At least some coil elements of the plurality overlap at least partly in a third direction running between the first direction and the second direction.

  • Patent number: 7764065
Abstract: An arrangement to transmit magnetic resonance signals has a local coil composed of a number of individual antennas for acquisition of radio-frequency signals of a magnetic resonance examination. Preamplifiers amplify the radio-frequency signals, and a transmission device transmits the radio-frequency signals from the local coil to the preamplifiers. The transmission device is fashioned as a readout coil and has a number of individual antennas. The individual antennas of the readout coil are magnetically coupled with the individual antennas of the local coil, with the individual antennas of the local coil and the individual antennas of the readout coil forming a linear MIMO transmission system describable by a transmission matrix.
