Abstract: The method disclosed for transshipping load carriers between road and rail including a loading station. The loading station includes a platform, where a series of load carriers are temporarily stored; a road; and a track. Further, to reduce the time and logistics required, a train is provided with load carriers for loading at predetermined points. Before the train drives up, information is provided regarding the points of the train by the load carriers. The truck drives up to the platform and the load carrier is transferred to sections of the platform corresponding to the points of the train. The load carriers are temporarily stored at the sections of the platform until the train drives up. When the train stops, the load carriers are transferred to the train at points of the train provided for loading by load carriers in a direction transverse to the longitudinal extension of the platform.

Abstract: The disclosure provides, inter alia, a method that includes obtaining transport information for a transport order, wherein the transport information represents at least one destination position. The method includes obtaining transport convoy information, wherein the transport convoy information represents at least one identifier of a transport convoy, and wherein a planned route of the transport convoy and a transport route between the current position of the transport vehicle and the destination position associated with the transport order comprise a common route section. The method also includes capturing and/or causing the capture of a first surroundings parameter, detecting the transport convoy at least in part based on the captured first surroundings parameter and the obtained transport convoy information, and if the transport convoy is detected, following the transport convoy in the transport vehicle and/or causing the transport vehicle to follow the transport convoy.

In order to reduce the associated cost and effort a vehicle (1) is drives to at least one receptacle (3) through public traffic at least in part and the at least one mailing to be delivered is taken from the vehicle (1) and placed into the receptacle (3) by a transfer device attached to the vehicle (1) and/or the at least one mailing to be collected is brought from the receptacle (3) to the vehicle (1) by the transfer device attached to the vehicle (1).
