  • Publication number: 20080002738
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for circuit emulation services over cell and packet networks. A constant bit rate traffic stream is mapped to one of a cell and packet structure. The constant bit rate traffic stream is mapped to one or more cells and the one or more cells are selectively translated to one or more packets if a packet stream is selected. In addition, one of a received cell and packet stream are mapped to a constant bit rate traffic stream. The packet stream is selectively translated to one or more cells and the one or more cells are translated to the constant bit rate traffic stream. A clock can optionally be recovered from the received cell or packet stream.

  • Patent number: 6540097
Abstract: A cooking vessel has a container having an encircling container margin bent outwardly and with a cover having an encircling cover margin bent outwardly. The container can be closed airtight by the cover with the aid of a closing mechanism acting on the container margin and cover margin. The closing mechanism comprises a closure ring extending over the container circumference with a C-profile cross section open radially inwardly, which, with the aid of an actuating mechanism, can be moved from an open position with greater diameter, in which the cover can be lifted from the container, into a closed position with lesser diameter, in which the container margin and the cover margin are clamped together by interspacing a sealing ring between a lower flank and an upper flank of the closure ring.

  • Patent number: 5258473
Abstract: Finely divided, water-soluble polymers are prepared by polymerization of water-soluble, monoethylenically unsaturated monomers in not less than 20% strength by weight aqueous solution in the presence of a polymerization initiator in a kneader by a process in which from 0.1 to 10% by weight, based on the total monomers, of a surfactant are used in the polymerization, the polymerization initially being carried out to a conversion of the monomers of not less than 60% in the absence of the surfactant or in the presence of not more than 50% of the amount of surfactant, and the remaining amount of surfactant then being added to the reaction mixture and the polymerization completed. The addition of surfactant causes the polymer gel to disintegrate with formation of fine particles.

  • Patent number: 5250375
Abstract: A process for producing structures in the submicron range is characterized by the following steps:a photoresist layer comprising a polymer constituent with functional groups, which are capable of reacting with primary or secondary amines, and N-blocked imide groups, a photoinitiator which releases an acid when irradiated and a suitable solvent is deposited on to a substrate;the photoresist layer is dried;the photoresist layer is exposed in an imagewise manner;the exposed photoresist layer is subjected to a temperature treatment;the photoresist layer treated in this manner is developed with an aqueous-alkaline or organic developing agent into a photoresist structure; andthe photoresist structure is treated with a chemical agent containing a primary or secondary amine; a defined dark field loss, is adjusted thereby during development in the range of between 20 and 100 nm.

  • Patent number: 5194629
Abstract: To produce N-tertiary butoxycarbonyl-maleinimide, maleinimide is reacted in the presence of a heterocyclic nitrogen compound having at least one tertiary nitrogen atom (as a base) with a more or less equimolar quantity of di-tertiary butyl-dicarbonate in a suitable solvent at temperatures of up to about 80.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5180804
Abstract: The water absorption capacity of crosslinked, water-swellable polymers is improved by a process in which a water-containing, finely divided polymer gel having a solids content of from 20 to 65% by weight is treated with steam at not less than 50.degree. C., the solids content of the water-containing polymer gel increasing by not more than 30% by weight, and the polymer gel is then dried in a conventional manner.

  • Patent number: 5171656
Abstract: Photosensitive compositions comprising a polymer and a photoactive constituent, which are able to be developed with aqueous, alkaline agents exhibit good bleaching properties in the DUV range, whereby the photoactive constituent has good solubility-inhibiting properties and does not evaporate during the drying process, when the photoactive constituent comprises diazo tetronic acid or a diazo tetronic acid derivative of the following structure: ##STR1## where the residues R are the same or different and signify H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or a silicon-containing residue.

  • Patent number: 4873299
Abstract: Crosslinked, finely divided, water-absorbing polymers are prepared in a batchwise process by copolymerization of 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, each of which is neutralized with from 0 to 100 mol% of an alkali metal or ammonium base,or acrylamide, methacrylamide or N-vinylpyrrolidone with, as a crosslinking agent, from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a monomer containing two or more ethylenically unsaturated double bonds in 20-80% by weight aqueous solution in the presence of an initiator in a multistage procedure in a batchwise mixing apparatus wih constant thorough mixing in all stages, in the first stage the aqueous monomer solution being copolymerized at from 45.degree. to 95.degree. C. and under from 0.1 to 0.8 bar with removal of some of the water by distillation, in the second stage the copolymerization being completed at from 100.degree. to 170.degree. C.
