Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for sorting piece goods and in particular plastic parisons with a delivery device which delivers the piece goods and with a sorting device which is arranged in a transport direction of the piece goods after the delivery device and is suitable for aligning the piece goods at least partially, and with a dispensing device which is arranged in the transport direction of the piece goods between the delivery device and the sorting device and which conveys the piece goods from the delivery device to the sorting device and is suitable and intended for dispensing the piece goods reaching the sorting device from the delivery device, wherein the dispensing device includes a body which is rotatable about a predetermined axis of rotation and on this body a receiver is arranged for receiving a predetermined number of piece goods.

The transport device includes a first support rail and a second support rail for carrying the plastic preforms between the first and second support rails along the direction of transport. The sorting device has two rollers spaced apart from one another, between which the plastic performs are guided. The apparatus has an adjustment mechanism for adjusting at least one lateral spacing of the support rails, wherein this adjustment mechanism has several adjustment units which are arranged one behind the other along the transport direction, wherein these adjustment units each enable an adjustment of the lateral spacing and wherein these adjustment units are mechanically coupled such that the adjustment units can be adjusted together.

Abstract: A method of conveying plastics material pre-forms includes the plastics material pre-forms supplied to a conveying device by a supply device. The conveying device has a first roller body and a second roller body. The plastics material pre-form is conveyed between these roller bodies. A portion of the plastics material pre-forms is supported by the two roller bodies. A further portion of the plastics material pre-forms passes through between the roller bodies. At least one first value characteristic of a state of occupation of the plastics material pre-forms is detected by a first measuring instrument. A second value characteristic is detected by a second measuring instrument downstream of the first measuring instrument in the conveying direction of the plastics material pre-forms. A setting variable of the supply device or the conveying device is controlled on the basis of the two values.
