The methods also include treating malaria comprising administering a compound as disclosed herein to a human or animal patient, preferably a human patient, in need thereof. The methods further include inhibiting a glutathione S-transferase (GST) comprising contacting a GST with a compound as disclosed herein. Also provided are compounds for use in the disclosed methods.
