  • Patent number: 12592617
Abstract: A device for determining a torque in a drivetrain of an at least partially electrically operated motor vehicle is provided, having a first electric motor with a first rotor rotatably mounted in at least two rolling bearings spaced in the axial direction. The first rotor is operatively connected to at least a first vehicle wheel to be driven by the first electric motor. The first rolling bearing has a first angular position sensor and the second rolling bearing has a second angular position sensor, the sensors each generating a signal that represents the angular position of the first rotor at the particular bearing point. The signals are transmitted to a vehicle controller, in which the torque of the first electric motor applied to the first rotor is determined from the difference between the angular positions and is provided to control the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7144350
Abstract: A method and device for error control procedure of an electronic control device of an automatic transmission, especially an automated shift transmission, disposed within the drive train of a motor vehicle, wherein the control device in the error-free state produces signals calling for predetermined torques from an engine under predetermined operating conditions according to which the torque produced by the engine is controlled, in which method a requested value that is a function of the requested torque is compared to a predetermined limit value and an error signal is produced if the requested value exceeds the limit value.

  • Patent number: 6922623
Abstract: An automated clutch of a motor vehicle is controlled according to a method with the steps: a) determining a first engine rpm-gradient signal (dnm(M)/dt) based on an engine torque signal (Me) and a target value (Mk) of the clutch torque; b) determining an engine rpm-rate signal (nm(R)) based on the engine rpm-gradient signal from step a); c) comparing an actual engine rpm-rate (nm) to the engine rpm-rate signal (nm(R)) from step b) and determining a correction quantity K based on the comparison; and d) correcting the first engine rpm-gradient signal (dnm(M)/dt) with the correction quantity K.

  • Patent number: 6849027
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for diagnosing a malfunction in a clutch actuator of a motor vehicle, the actual position of the clutch actuator is measured by a position sensor. Simultaneously, an estimated position of the clutch actuator is calculated by an emulation unit that emulates the function of the clutch actuator. Malfunctions of the clutch-actuator are diagnosed by comparing the actual, measured position to the estimated position.

  • Patent number: 6322477
Abstract: A method for influencing a shift process connected with a change in transmission ratio when driving a motor vehicle that has a set of driven wheels subject to longitudinal and transverse forces, the method including detecting whether or not the vehicle is traveling around a curve and, if doing so when the shift process is in progress, influencing the shift process so as to decrease the longitudinal forces that act on the driven wheels as a result of the shift process. Also disclosed is an apparatus for performing the disclosed method including a detector for detecting whether or not the vehicle is traveling around a curve and a transmission ratio shifter responsive to the detector that, if the vehicle is traveling around a curve when the shift process is in progress, performs the shift process so as to decrease the longitudinal forces that act on the driven wheels as a result of the shift process.
