  • Patent number: 11976741
Abstract: An electrohydraulic system having an adjustment device for a valve includes a drive apparatus, a control apparatus, and a preloading apparatus. In the event of a fault, the energy stored in the preloading apparatus can be transferred to the control apparatus such that a rotational motion of the control apparatus begins, which leads to the adjustment of the valve. The preloading apparatus comprises at least one elastic element, which is arranged adjacent to a control shaft of the control apparatus, is stationarily connected to the control shaft, and applies a torque to the control shaft.

  • Patent number: 9414473
Abstract: A lamp 10 is described comprising a burner 14 fixed to a lamp base 12. An operating circuit 50 is arranged within the lamp base 12 for supplying electrical power to the burner 14. The operating circuit 50 is electrically connected to at least one elongate contact path element 70 extending within the base. The contact path element 70 is supported within the base 12 and comprises a first portion 70a fixed within the base and a second portion 70b slidably received within the base 12. The contact path element 70 is fixed to the operating circuit 50 at a position arranged in longitudinal direction from the second portion 70b. This allows a manufacturing method, where the contact path element is fixed to the operating circuit 50 at a position arranged in longitudinal direction from the second portion, so that a longitudinal movement of the second portion is possible to compensate for manufacturing tolerances.

  • Publication number: 20150142399
Abstract: In a computational environment including at least one processor, an example method of reducing the number of symbolic parameters in a model of a physical system includes receiving an initial model such as a system of differential algebraic equations (DAEs), eliminating isolated symbolic parameters (if any) from the initial model, extracting parameter sub-expressions from the DAEs, establishing minimal disconnected clusters of parameter sub-expressions, and for each cluster, attempting to generate a reduced cluster having a reduced number of symbolic parameters using one or more algorithms. If more than one approach is successful, that which is most successful in reducing the number of symbolic parameters is selected. A revised model is created having fewer symbolic parameters than the initial model and based on simulation results obtained from the revised model, a prototype of a physical system is manufactured and/or changes are made to an existing physical system.
