  • Patent number: 10350854
Abstract: The invention relates to a functional protective material, in particular having a protective function with respect to chemical poisons and/or biological toxins and/or chemical and/or biological hazardous materials, such as warfare agents, wherein the functional protective material has a multi-layer structure that comprises a planar, in particular textile, substrate material and a membrane that is associated with the substrate material, in particular connected to the substrate material, wherein the membrane in itself is permeable to air and water vapor and therefore is provided with a plurality of micropores preferably distributed substantially evenly over the membrane surface. According to the invention, an operating parameter of the membrane can be changed in such a way that the membrane assumes two different operating states, wherein in the first operating state the micropores of the membrane are open and in the second operating state, the micropores of the membrane are at least predominantly closed.

  • Patent number: 9209100
Abstract: A housing for a device operated under at least one of a vacuum and a protective gas includes at least one housing interior space, at least one receiving region configured to receive at least one getter material, and a connection between the at least one housing interior space and the at least one receiving region. The connection includes a particle-impervious bond.

Date of Patent: December 8, 2015
Assignee: GSI HELMHOLTZZENTRUM FUER SCHWERIONENFORSCHUNG GMBH
Inventors: Tobias Engert, Ivan Kojouharov, Juergen Gerl
  • Patent number: 9027823
Abstract: A workpiece arrangement includes at least two join regions of at least one workpiece that are joined together by a material-to-material connection seam. The material-to-material connection seam covers only a portion of a first of the at least two join regions. A thermal insulation device is disposed in an area of the material-to-material connection seam and corresponds to the first of the at least two join regions.
