  • Publication number: 20230213051
Abstract: Systems and methods include providing a tolerance ring with a friction enhancement feature on at least one surface of the tolerance ring to increase at least one friction-related property of the tolerance ring. The friction enhancement feature provides the tolerance ring with an increased retention force while providing an optimum radial force that allows a component secured by the tolerance ring to move freely while reducing or altogether preventing axial movement of the component.

  • Patent number: 10591350
Abstract: Device (1) for manually measuring the frequency of vibrations on a tight drive belt (6, 6?, 6?), comprising a Doppler radar module (3) which uses a transmit antenna (4) for emitting a transmit beam (8) onto a vibrating surface of the drive belt (6, 6?, 6?) as well as a receive antenna (5) for receiving the receive beam (9) reflected by the surface and evaluates the receive beam (9) according to the Doppler principle, the vibration sensor (1) also comprising an acceleration sensor (10) in addition to the Doppler radar module (3), the signals of the acceleration sensor (10) being calculated along with the signals of the Doppler radar module, thus allowing some signals to be disregarded.

  • Patent number: 10385244
Abstract: The present invention comprises a single-component binder for heat-sealing applications which can be used for the sealing of polyester foils, in particular of polyethylene terephthalate foils (PET foils) with respect to containers made of polystyrene, of PVC, and of polyester. These polyesters can in particular be polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polylactic acid (PLA). The binders here feature not only good seal seam strengths but also in particular good transparency and excellent application properties. A substantive aspect of the invention is that the sealing can be achieved without addition of adhesion promoters, in particular without addition of adhesion promoters based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or on polyester, and that barrier properties and sealing properties achieved in respect of containers made of PS and of PET are nevertheless at least comparable with, and sometimes better than, those achieved with heat-sealing systems already marketed.

  • Patent number: 10205546
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a radio system of a motor vehicle. In one embodiment, the method comprises: specifying an area surrounding the motor vehicle, determining which digital radio stations within this area can be received error-free using a receiving device of the radio system, and displaying only those digital radio stations which can be received error-free within this area. The invention furthermore relates to a radio system for a motor vehicle and to a motor vehicle with a radio system.

  • Patent number: 10195829
Abstract: A transparent, heat-sealable coating for transparent PET packaging foils can be provided by using a heat-sealable lacquer based on styrene-containing copolymers, on poly(meth)acrylates, on at least one polyester and optionally on a tackifier, and also the process for the sealing of a foil coated with this lacquer. It is surprising here that, despite the use of a rubber based on styrene-containing polymers that is not optically compatible with polyesters and polymethacrylate, the transparency of the heat-sealable coatings is still very high.

  • Patent number: 10095566
Abstract: An operator control element in a motor vehicle generates an activation signal as a function of the activation of the operating element, and a control unit receives the activation signal and measures a signal length of the activation signal, and signals the activation if the signal length becomes greater than a predetermined debounce time. Despite possible incorrect triggering of the activation signal owing to voltage fluctuations, the debounce time is to be short. The control unit determines for this purpose an operating parameter, and on the basis of the operating parameter it is detected that a supply voltage, made available at the control unit, satisfies a predetermined instability criterion, and when the instability criterion is satisfied the control unit delays the measurement of the signal length for a predetermined blocking time.
