  • Patent number: 7504602
Abstract: The invention relates to a suspended control device (20) which is suspended by means of a control line (1, 24) connected to a unit to be controlled (21). Said suspended control device is especially a control switch or a suspended push-button switch for controlling hoisting equipment, the control line (1, 24) comprising electrical lines (2) for transmitting control signals, and a traction relief element (22) which is supported at the top, on the unit (21), and used to absorb weight and tractive forces. The aim of the invention is to provide a suspended control device (20) whereby the length of the control line (1, 24) can be easily changed. To this end, a storage element for receiving and releasing a defined length of the electrical lines (2) is provided behind the region wherein the traction relief element (22) is supported, seen in the direction of the unit (21) from the suspended control device (20).

  • Patent number: 6964409
Abstract: A chain block with a drive motor (2) and with a transmission (3), connected to the drive motor (2) at the take-off side, with a transmission output shaft (4), on which a chain wheel (5) is rigidly arranged for pulling a chain. In order to create a compact chain block, the chain wheel (5) faces the drive motor (2) at its take-off end face (19) and the outer circumference of the chain wheel (5) reaches into the imaginary extension of the outer contour of the drive motor (2).

  • Patent number: 6802487
Abstract: A flow regulating apparatus for a fluid, in particular a pneumatic choke valve, includes a housing having an inlet port and an outlet port fluidly connected by a choke channel. A throttling piston is disposed in the choke channel for movement in longitudinal direction between an initial position and an end position. The throttling piston includes a tapered section to define with the choke channel an overflow passage whose cross section is dependent on a position of the throttling piston, wherein the tapered section is configured such that a movement of the throttling piston from the initial position to the end position results in a progressive increase of the cross section of the overflow passage.

  • Patent number: 6641117
Abstract: Apparatus for slip-free determination of a cable motion in longitudinal cable direction for a hoist, in particular a pneumatically operated cable balancing hoist, which includes a housing, and a cable drum having an outer surface area formed with a groove for receiving a cable. The cable drum is rotatably supported in the housing and moveable in a longitudinal direction in such a way that a run-off point of the cable is at a same location at any time. A sensor is provided to detect markings of the cable drum, as the markings move relative to the sensor during rotation of the cable drum, for delivering an output signal. The groove defines a helical ridge in parallel relationship to the groove, wherein the markings are provided along the ridge, and wherein the sensor is secured to the housing in confronting relationship to the ridge.

  • Patent number: 6460828
Abstract: A brake for a hoist, includes a brake disk and a magnetic filed which is aligned transversely to the brake disk and generates a reactive force which inhibits a movement of the brake disk and is dependent on the rotation speed of the brake disk as well as a radial distance from the rotation axis. The magnetic field is formed by two magnetic poles arranged on both sides of the brake disk.

  • Patent number: 6241215
Abstract: A winch including a casing for accommodating an electric motor, a gearbox and a roller for winding and unwinding a traction member. In order to provide a cost-effective flat winch which can be transported by a single person and used universally, in particular for the domestic sector, the casing has a box-like configuration to exhibit a shape and size of a suitcase or attaché case, with the casing having opposite flat outer sides, with one outer side having attached thereon a suspension member, and the other outer side being formed with an opening for passage of the traction member. The electric motor, the gearbox and the roller are arranged in the casing and extend in a common plane, with the casing including a handle to allow transport of the winch by a person. The electric motor may be designed as a universal motor, and connected via a belt drive to the gearbox which is designed as a self-locking worm drive.
