  • Patent number: 11963902
Abstract: A stoma cover includes a hood and an adjustment band. The hood extends between a proximal end and a closed distal end. The adjustment band is connected to the proximal end. The adjustment band allows the hood to adjust between a first open size at the proximal end that is sized for placement over the stoma and a second size that is smaller than the first open size. The second size is adapted to secure the hood relative to a root portion of the stoma. A moisture absorbing material is disposed inside of the hood, where the moisture absorbing material is provided to absorb stomal output exuding from a meatus of the stoma.

  • Publication number: 20210138090
Abstract: There is provided a novel conjugate that binds to the cell surface receptor uPA (uPAR). The conjugate is based on a fluorescence-labeled peptide useful as a diagnostic probe to the surfaces of cells expressing uPAR. The conjugate is capable of carrying a suitable detectable and imageable label that will allow qualitative detection and also quantitation of uPAR levels in vitro and in vivo. This renders the surgical resection of tumors more optimal.

  • Publication number: 20190336610
Abstract: The present invention relates to a conjugate of the formula P-L-I, wherein P is a peptide hormone effecting the metabolism of carbohydrates in vivo, L is a hydrolysable linker molecule consisting of Lp and Li, and I is a molecule capable of inhibiting the effect of the peptide hormone P on the metabolism of carbohydrates in vivo. Under in vivo conditions, the conjugate is the major compound. When the concentration of glucose increases in vivo, the concentration of the peptide hormone effecting the metabolism of carbohydrates in vivo also increases.

  • Patent number: 10352607
Abstract: A method for controlling a vapor compression system, in particular an opening degree of an expansion valve. According to a first control strategy, the expansion valve is closed until the superheat value has increased above a lower threshold superheat value. According to a second control strategy, the expansion valve is kept open until the suction pressure has increased above a lower threshold suction pressure value. In the case of low superheat value as well as low suction pressure, the second control strategy is selected for a limited period of time.

  • Patent number: 9791174
Abstract: A method for controlling a vapor compression system during start-up is disclosed. The rate of change, ?T1, of the temperature of refrigerant entering the evaporator, and the rate of change, ?T2, of the temperature of refrigerant leaving the evaporator are compared. Based on the comparing step, a refrigerant filling state of the evaporator is determined. The opening degree of the expansion device is then controlled according to a first control strategy in the case that it is determined that the evaporator is full or almost full, and according to a second control strategy in the case that it is determined that the evaporator is not full. Thereby it is ensured that a maximum filling degree of the evaporator is quickly reached, without risking that liquid refrigerant passes through the evaporator.
