  • Publication number: 20240035666
Abstract: A food cooking appliance for cooking a food product disposed on a substrate is disclosed. The food cooking appliance comprises a gas burner disposed below the substrate. The gas burner includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced flame openings and a radiant disposed above and proximate to the spaced flame openings. Heat generated by flames emanating from the spaced flame openings heats the radiant, causing the radiant to radiate heat, to increase the overall heat transferred to the substrate by the burner.

  • Publication number: 20230220992
Abstract: A high output gas burner such as for a food cooking appliance is disclosed. The gas burner is adapted to combust a mixture of gas and air. The gas burner has a cross ring having a plurality of radially spaced channels and a plurality of axially spaced channels. The radially spaced channels and the axially spaced channels are adapted to guide the air to be combusted with the gas. The radially spaced channels have a diameter of the order of 10 mm and the axially spaced channels have a diameter of the order of 8 mm.

  • Publication number: 20230127269
Abstract: The invention relates to a wall-flow filter as a particle filter with catalytically active coatings in the channels which are closed in a gas-tight manner at the opposing closed ends of the channels A at the first end, wherein the inlet region of the filter is additionally supplied with a dry powder-gas aerosol which contains metal compounds with a high melting point (such as the metal oxides Al203, Si02, Fe02, Ti02, Zn02, etc. for example) and which is to simultaneously improve the catalytic activity and the degree of filtration efficiency with respect to the exhaust gas back-pressure.

  • Patent number: 11590484
Abstract: A process for coating substrates of motor vehicle exhaust gas catalysts is described, and includes steps of applying a suspension (e.g., washcoat) to a substrate, allowing a shear force to act on the applied washcoat, as in pressure transmitted by gas (e.g., air), and then sucking and/or pressing the washcoat into the substrate. The process in inclusive of providing the suspension (washcoat) containing the catalytic material from above in a metered charge process. An apparatus for carrying out the noted process steps is also featured.

  • Publication number: 20220134324
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and a device for coating substrates of motor vehicle exhaust gas catalysts. In this respect, the substrates can be flow-though substrates or filter systems (“wall flow”). The invention particularly describes an improvement in such coating processes in which a suspension (washcoat) containing the catalytically active material is applied to or delivered onto such a vertically oriented substrate (monolithic substrate) from above (“metered charge” process).
