  • Patent number: 8898904
Abstract: A method for coating a steering wheel and a corresponding steering wheel having a steering wheel rim comprising a steering wheel skeleton having a foam layer applied thereto and intended to be encompassed by a cover layer made of leather or plastic are provided. In order to simplify production, the cover layer is positioned on the steering wheel rim as a strip and is fixed to the foam layer on one end. The cover layer strip is then glued onto the foam layer and the lateral edges of the cover layer strip are sewed together in a known manner.

  • Publication number: 20130276573
Abstract: A method for producing a steering wheel for a vehicle is provided with the method including the following steps: providing a steering wheel rim, providing a first and a second blank, in particular made of leather, for producing a covering of the steering wheel rim which covering is visible after the steering wheel is completed; producing the covering by connecting a first edge section of the first blank to a first edge section of the second blank via a seam; and finally covering the steering wheel rim with the covering in such a manner that the seam, which connects the first and the second blank to each other, continues essentially along an inner circumference of the steering wheel rim and is visible from the outside in the completed steering wheel.

  • Patent number: 8502108
Abstract: A microhollow cathode discharge assembly capable of generating a low temperature, atmospheric pressure plasma micro jet is disclosed. The microhollow assembly has two electrodes: an anode and a cathode separated by a dielectric. A microhollow gas passage is disposed through the three layers. In some embodiments, the passage is tapered such that the area at the first electrode is larger than the area at the second electrode. When a potential is placed across the electrodes and a gas is directed through the gas passage, then a low temperature micro plasma jet can be created at atmospheric pressure or above.

  • Publication number: 20090151506
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a steering wheel, having the following steps: arranging and fastening at least one steering wheel covering element to the steering wheel skeleton after an outer layer of the steering wheel has been connected to the outside of the at least one steering wheel covering element. The invention also relates to a steering wheel, produced by means of the method, for a motor vehicle, in which it is provided according to the invention that the at least one steering wheel covering element is designed and provided to be arranged on and fastened to the steering wheel skeleton after the outer layer has been connected to the outside of the at least one steering wheel covering element.

  • Publication number: 20060028145
Abstract: A microhollow cathode discharge assembly capable of generating a low temperature, atmospheric pressure plasma micro jet is disclosed. The microhollow assembly has at two electrodes: an anode and a cathode separated by a dielectric. A microhollow gas passage is disposed through the three layers, preferably in a taper such that the area at the anode is larger than the area at the cathode. When a potential is placed across the electrodes and a gas is directed through the gas passage into the anode and out the cathode, along the tapered direction, then a low temperature micro plasma jet can be created at atmospheric pressure.
