Patent number: 8562008Abstract: A stabilizer coupling for use in a roll stabilizer for a motor vehicle has at least one actuator, with the actuator being formed by an outer profile element and an inner profile element. An elastically deformable body is arranged between the outer profile element and the inner profile element. The outer profile element is formed as a hollow profile component, in particular a hollow profile component constructed as an extruded profile and made from a light metal alloy.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2012Date of Patent: October 22, 2013Assignee: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbHInventors: Oliver Seibt, Jürgen Krogmeier, Igor Illg, Friso Berheide, Andreas Janzen

Patent number: 8418345Abstract: In a method for producing a joint between a hollow profile made from steel and a component made from an aluminum material, a positive and material joint is produced by a braze welding process in conjunction with a pressing operation. The hollow profile is first pressed on a seating region of the component. Subsequently, a weld layer with an additive is applied by thermal joining, producing a positive and material joint between the hollow profile and the component. The positive joint is facilitated by first forming an end of the hollow profile to be pressed on. Preferably, forming is done by widening the end to be pressed on into the shape of a collar.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2010Date of Patent: April 16, 2013Assignee: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbHInventors: Simon Potthast, Siegfried Fecke, Michael Wibbeke, Jürgen Krogmeier, Armin Zuber

Patent number: 8414087Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle axle component and a method for producing a motor vehicle axle component. The axle component, for example a dead beam axle, includes a light metal body, such as aluminum or magnesium or corresponding alloys, and a tubular body in form of a steel tube, which are adhesively connected with each other. An adhesive pocket filled with an adhesive is formed between an end of the tubular body and a cylindrical receptacle of the light metal body. Respective bezels are arranged on a free end of the receptacle and on a free end of the tubular body. The spaces between the respective bezels and adjacent walls are filled with adhesive, which seals the interior and exterior transition regions of the joint zone, thus protecting the joint zone against corrosion, improving the load characteristic of the axle component and increasing its service life.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2010Date of Patent: April 9, 2013Assignee: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbHInventors: Michael Wibbeke, Jürgen Krogmeier

Publication number: 20100300584Abstract: According to the method, a blank (7) that is severed from strip material (4) of coated, high-strength boron steel is homogeneously heated in a furnace (11) having a plurality of temperature zones (8, 9, 10) first in a 1st zone (8) to a temperature of approximately 830° C. to 950° C. and maintained at this temperature level for a defined time (t). Thereafter, a region (12) of first kind of the blank (7) is cooled down in a 2nd zone (9) of the furnace (11) to a temperature of approximately 550° C. to 700° C. and maintained at this lowered temperature level for a defined time (t1). At the same time, a region (13) of second kind of the blank (7) is maintained in a 3rd zone (10) of the furnace (11) at a temperature level of approximately 830° C. to 950° C. during a time (t2). After this heat treatment, a blank (7) is formed into a shaped component (1) in a thermoforming process.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 2008Publication date: December 2, 2010Applicant: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbHInventors: Otto Buschsieweke, Stefan Adelbert, Johannes Böke, Markus Pellmann, Jürgen Krogmeier

Patent number: 7578894Abstract: The interior of a furnace is partitioned into two longitudinally extending and transversely adjacent zones, and one of the zones is heated to a substantially higher treatment temperature than the other of the zones, which may or may not be heated. A steel workpiece is conveyed longitudinally through the furnace with a region of the workpiece moving exclusively through the one zone and another region of the workpiece moving exclusively through the other of the zones such that the regions are heated to different temperatures. The treatment temperature in one of the zone is above the AC1 point for the workpiece and the temperature in the other of the zones is close to or below the AC1 point for the workpiece.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2007Date of Patent: August 25, 2009Assignee: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbHInventors: Patrick Reinhold, Jürgen Krogmeier, Johannes Böke
