  • Patent number: 7287629
Abstract: A hydrodynamic actuating device has one prime mover, one torque converter and one rear-mounted transmission and is especially adequate for construction machines of wide range of motion such as wheel loaders. For limiting the maximum traction, one primary clutch (16) and one converter bridging clutch (WK) are both coordinated with the torque converter, which are disposed in series so as to be switchable via a single valve controlled by the transmission control with only a control pressure so that in all driving situations, first, the primary clutch (16) and thereafter the converter bridging clutch (WK) are closed.

  • Patent number: 7198143
Abstract: A transmission shift system comprising a synchronizing device for idler wheels, which can be actuated hydraulically and comprises at least one piston that can mesh with a selected idler wheel as the sliding sleeve. The piston can be displaced axially on a shaft via a hydraulic actuation and is non-rotatably connected with it, thus self-locking synchronization is provided.

  • Patent number: 7082760
Abstract: A drive system for a mobile vehicle has hydraulic motors (1, 2) arranged in a transmission housing (3), which drive a drive output shaft (22) via a totalizing transmission gearset, the totalizing transmission and the hydraulic motors (1, 2) being arranged within the transmission housing (3).

  • Patent number: 7022044
Abstract: To reduce the structural volume of a drive engine (1) in a drive train of a mobile vehicle, in particular a working machine such as a wheel loader, a continuously adjustable transmission gear is arranged between the drive engine (1) and a hydraulic pump (5) for the working hydraulic system, which can be adjusted as a function of the load condition of the drive engine (1).

  • Patent number: 6984190
Abstract: A power train for construction machinery, preferably a wheel loader, has an internal combustion engine (1) which, via a primary clutch (2), drives a hydrodynamic torque converter (3) the output of which drives a reduction gear (4). The prime mover (1) communicates with a power take off (6) and drives a consumer (7). The prime mover (1) and the hydrodynamic torque converter are designed so that at the stall point and when the consumer (7) is not activated, the prime mover is operated close to its maximum torque. If the consumer (7) is additionally activated, the primary clutch (2) is actuated in opening direction until a defined rotational speed of the prime mover is retained.

  • Patent number: 6949042
Abstract: A shiftable transmission in which at least two clutches (2, 7) actuated in closing direction by spring force and in opening direction by the exertion of pressure are arranged, wherein output of the transmission is stopped by unpressurized shifting of both actuation devices (9, 13) thereby closing both clutches (2, 7). When pressure is exerted upon the second actuation device (13), the actuation force of the first actuation device (9) is composed of a spring force of the first actuation device (9) and a hydraulic force from the pressurization of the second actuation device (13). The clutch belonging to the first actuation device can thus be impinged upon with different forces depending on whether or not the second actuation device is impinged upon with pressure.

  • Patent number: 6619184
Abstract: In order to reduce the shock that occurs in downshifting and up-shifting a hydraulic radial piston engine, a valve (1), which controls the displacement of the radial piston engine, is reversed with throttling. In order to prevent the throttled reversal from being affected by the level of pressure in the hydraulic fluid intake (3) to the hydraulic radial piston engine, a sealing point is provided in the valve (1), which controls the hydraulic fluid intake (3) to the torque-generating pistons. To prevent critical safety situations from arising, a valve (24) is positioned in front of the valve (1) that controls the displacement of the hydraulic radial piston engine; this valve (24) always switches the valve (1) that controls the displacement of the hydraulic radial piston engine, without pressure, when the hydraulic fluid intake (3) from a hydraulic fluid source to the hydraulic radial piston engine falls below a certain pressure level.

  • Patent number: 6505529
Abstract: A reversing transmission shiftable under load in which the reversing clutches (1, 2) are automatically evacuated by the flow of pressure medium through the clutch (1, 2) not subjected to pressure wherein bores (9, 24), which in this shifting state, are connected to the oil reservoir (5) are placed at the highest point of the piston chamber. The shifting clutches (1, 2) are configured as negative clutches. For modulating the pressure during a reverse shift, an accumulator (27, 28) is provided from which pressure medium flows out via orifices (25, 29). For inching a valve (30) is provided via which the closed clutch (1, 2) can be subjected to a pressure whose level can be continuously varied.
