  • Patent number: 10295016
Abstract: A plate link chain for a continuously variable transmission of a motor vehicle. The chain is formed from longer and shorter chain links that are formed from and that include respective longer and shorter link plates that are coupled to each other by pairs of rocker pressure members. Both the shorter link plates and the longer link plates have at least one longitudinally extending external appendage.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 20, 2015

  • Patent number: 10184550
Abstract: A plate link chain for a continuously variable transmission in a motor vehicle. The chain includes longer and shorter chain links that include longer and shorter link plates that are coupled to each other by pairs of rocker pressure pieces. The plate link chain includes only two types of link plates, namely shorter link plates and longer link plates.

  • Patent number: 9797472
Abstract: A plate-link chain for a continuously variable transmission of a motor vehicle. The chain includes relatively long and relatively short chain links. In long-short regions the chain links are arranged to overlap in a chain running direction by arranging plate-links disposed adjacent to one another transversely with respect to the chain running direction, and coupled to one another by pairs of rocker pressure members. In the long-short regions the plate-links of the chain links are arranged in a double configuration or in a triple configuration. Spacing or biasing elements are provided between pairs of side-by-side plate-links to provide damping of the plate-link chain when in operation.

  • Publication number: 20170074352
Abstract: A rocker joint for a plate link chain. The rocker joint is defined by pairs of contacting rocker pressure pieces that pass through openings formed in chain link plates. Each of the rocker pressure pieces has a rocker pressure piece height, and each includes a rocker pressure piece rocking radius that is in contact with the rocking radius of an adjacent rocker pressure piece. The ratio between the rocking radius and the rocker pressure piece height of the rocker pressure pieces is selected to be small so that a contact point of the contacting rocker pressure pieces moves less far than conventional rocker pressure piece movements during travel of the plate link chain around and between pairs of spaced conical disks.

  • Patent number: 8348335
Abstract: A passenger car configured as a convertible, with an underbody, which has a middle tunnel, and with a cockpit carrier, on which a steering column carrying a steering handwheel is mounted. Driving comfort can be increased if the cockpit carrier is attached solely to the middle tunnel fixedly in three directions perpendicular to one another.

  • Patent number: 7849735
Abstract: An apparatus and method for testing flow noise of a motor vehicle are provided. The apparatus includes a blast nozzle device having at least one blast nozzle, and a transport device. The blast nozzle device is designed for the targeted impingement of the outer skin of the motor vehicle by air flow, and the transport device is designed such that the blast nozzle device and the motor vehicle may be moved relative to one another. A microphone array is positioned in the interior of the motor vehicle and measures the flow noise in the interior of the motor vehicle. The microphone array is preferably a spherical array. The flow noise in the interior of the motor vehicle generated by the air flow is measured by use of the microphone array.

  • Publication number: 20080067831
Abstract: A convertible has a top which can be opened and, in the closed state, has a headliner facing an interior of the convertible. The novel top has a rear window frame and at least two separate roof sections which, when the top is closed, are placed in front of the rear window frame in the direction of travel and, during the opening and closing of the top, can be moved in relation to each other and relative to the convertible via a top linkage. A respective, separate and self-supporting lining element which faces the interior of the convertible and which each forms a section of the headliner is disposed on each roof section.

  • Publication number: 20030220034
Abstract: A wheel house shell for a vehicle has a multi-layer textile construction, in which case a covering layer is provided on the side of the wheel house shell facing the wheel. In order to avoid an absorption of water and dirt respectively by the covering layer, the latter is produced of a hydrophobic weave or knit made of PTFE fibers.
