  • Publication number: 20040255510
Abstract: The invention relates to fuel compositions containing over 50% percent by weight diesel, gasoline, kerosene, or other hydrocarbons which are liquid at room temperature. The invention is characterized in that the compositions contain 0.001 to 0.1 percent by weight of an additive of formula (I), wherein R represents a monounsaturated or polyunsaturated alkylene radical with 17 C atoms, n is 2 or 3 and k represents a number between 0.5 and 3, with the proviso that the sulfur content in the fuel composition docs not exceed a maximum of 0.2 percent by weight.

  • Patent number: 6429324
Abstract: Processes for preparing alkylene glycol esters of dimer fatty acids according to the general formula (I): H—(OR)n—O(O)C—R1—C(O)O—(RO)n—H  (I) wherein R1 represents a hydrocarbon radical of a dimer fatty acid having from about 24 to about 44 carbon atoms, and each R independently represents an alkyl radical having from about 2 to about 3 carbon atoms, and each n independently represents a number of from about 0.25 to about 3.0, are described. The processes include: (a) providing dimer fatty acids; (b) providing an alkylene oxide; and (c) reacting the dimer fatty acids and the alkylene oxide, in the presence of a catalytically-effective amount of at least one alkanolamine.

  • Publication number: 20010011572
Abstract: In a method and a device for hot-sealing material to be stitched, in particular paper, cardboard or the like, a hot-sealable thread clamp is introduced into the material to be stitched. The device for hot-sealing these stitching threads has a sealing element which is provided with a contact surface which touches the material to be stitched during the sealing operation. During the sealing operation, the contact surface moves essentially at the same speed as the material to be stitched.
