  • Publication number: 20180084718
Abstract: A combine harvester which regulates spreading of crop flow on the ground, with the crop flow passing through a shredding and/or a spreading device in the rear region of the combine harvester, is disclosed. The combine harvester includes a driver assistance system, which includes a computing unit and a display unit. The computing unit processes information generated by the machine's internal sensor systems, external information and information storable in the computing unit. The driver assistance system stores selectable spreading strategies to regulate the spreading of the crop flow exiting the combine harvester and one or more of the partial strategies assigned to the respective spreading strategy. The driver assistance system uses the selectable spreading strategies and the partial strategies in order to regulate the crop flow spread on the ground.

  • Publication number: 20150038201
Abstract: A combine harvester is configured with a chopping mechanism for chopping crop that includes a cutting cylinder equipped with knives, a knife carrier equipped with counter-knives and a friction concave plate and, downstream thereof a rasp bar. The knife carrier and the friction concave plate are each swivellable about a swivel axis, which enables the knife carrier and the friction concave plate to be moved into a position in which the counter-knives, the rasp bar or both extend at least partially into a crop stream passing through the chopping mechanism. The knife carrier and the friction concave plate are each adjusted using an actuator without the use of tools.

  • Publication number: 20140364179
Abstract: A combine harvester includes a first discharge mechanism having a changeable discharge direction, a chopping assembly for chopping up straw and a second discharge mechanism disposed downstream of the chopping assembly. The second discharge mechanism disposed is operated at least two different positions. In a first position, the second discharge mechanism is supplied with crop from the chopping assembly and the first discharge mechanism. In a second position, the second discharge mechanism disposed permits crop to be discharged upon bypassing the second discharge mechanism. The discharge direction of the first discharge mechanism is dependent upon the operating state of the chopping assembly.

  • Patent number: 8105140
Abstract: In a method and device for spreading a material flow onto a field, the material flow emerging from a chopping mechanism of a chopping and spreading device, in particular a combine mounted straw chopper on a combine harvester, is conveyed to at least one guide element which is situated transversely to the longitudinal axis of the chopping mechanism, the guide element accelerates the material flow and conveys it to at least one downstream spreading unit, the material flow emerging from the at least one guide element is conveyed by a plane of conveyance, in which the material flow enters the at least one guide element, onto a spreading plane situated below the plane of conveyance; in the spreading plane, and the material flow is distributed by the at least one spreading unit onto the field.

  • Publication number: 20060189362
Abstract: For operating a self propelling harvester provided with a cutterbar and a chopping and distributing device located in a discharge region and supplying a crop stream to at least one ejecting blower, a discharge direction of the crop stream from the ejecting blower is adjusted by a breaking edge which is longitudinally displaceable by a drive, wherein the drive for adjusting the at least one breaking edge is regulated depending on the working width of the cutterbar and/or depending on the distribution of the crop stream on the ground, to adapt the scattering width automatically to the working width of the cutterbar and to distribute in a uniform layer density on the ground.
