    Abstract: A front case 50 accommodates a substrate 30 on which female contacts 90 are mounted. The female contacts 90 are accommodated in a housing 70. From a rear portion 61 of a rear case 60, male contacts 80 protrude forward. The front protrusion 80a of each male contact 80 is provided inside a housing 62. When a housing 62 is fitted with a housing 70, each male contact 80 slides on and contacts leading ends 91a and 92a in the direction in which the housings are fitted.

    Abstract: A connector includes a housing and contacts. Each of the contacts includes a leading end, a connecting part, a held part, and a flange part. The housing has a holding part having a contact insertion hole into which the held part is inserted. The contact insertion hole includes: a first insertion hole in which a side surface of the held part of the contact is held; a second insertion hole formed in a size that holds one opposite side surface of the held part of the contact, and having a space on the other opposite side surface side, the second insertion hole being formed to be longer than the first insertion hole; and a flange holding part. The held part of the contact is made longer than the leading end of the contact. This configuration can improve alignment accuracy of the contacts without using a compensation plate.

    Abstract: A contact includes a contact portion to which a conductive portion of a connecting member is connected upon sliding in at least one sliding direction. The contact includes a first arm portion extending in parallel to the sliding direction. The arm portion includes a punched surface, a chevron portion provided on the punched surface and projecting in a direction intersecting the sliding direction, and a gold plating layer provided on the punched surface. The chevron portion has an apex portion making up the contact portion and one pair of inclined surface portions disposed at respective sides of the apex portion in regard to the sliding direction. The gold plating layer provided on the punched surface is disposed only on at least a portion of the inclined surface portion at an opposite direction side of the sliding direction and at least a portion of the apex portion.

    Abstract: An electrical connector with a locking mechanism includes a housing and a locking mechanism provided in the housing. The locking mechanism includes a first support portion extending from the housing, a lock main body supported by the first support portion in a swingable manner, an engagement tab capable of engaging with and disengaging from an engagement portion provided in a counterpart electrical connector according to swinging of the lock main body, and an operating portion arranged to be pressed in order to swing the lock main body.
