Publication number: 20250235004Abstract: A seat back for an office chair is efficiently manufactured and assembled. The seat back includes a tensioner for tensioning a flexible support on the structural frame. The tensioner is connected between the lower edge of the flexible support and the upright members of the frame such that the tensioner stretches the flexible support between the upper and lower edges of the flexible support and maintains the flexible support in tension on the structural frame. An armrest mount may be formed integrally with each of the upright members of the structural frame, and an armrest housing vertically adjustably mounted to each of the armrest mounts. An activation mechanism is positioned adjacent to the lower end of the armrest housing, and is connected to a lock element such that movement of the activation mechanism toward the upper end of the housing causes the lock element to move to an unlocked position.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 19, 2024Publication date: July 24, 2025Inventors: Craig Brekke, William Reck, Jacob Cammenga, Weston Boerckel, Andras Kupfermann, Angelina Lullie, Mark J. Publication number: 20240390826Abstract: A filter assembly for fluid filtration having a push-activated lock and release mechanism. A push filter design activates a filter key lock upon insertion and extraction, where the filter key may be used simultaneously as a lock and as an identifier for particular filter attributes. The filter housing assembly may be attached to, and removed from, a filter base by a push-actuated release. Upon insertion, the filter key shifts the filter lock longitudinally to receive interlocking segments. Upon extraction, the same axial push shifts the filter lock further to align the interlocking fingers within gaps that allow for easy extraction. The specific key lock design allows a user to identify and match certain filter configurations received by the mechanical support, and reject other filter configurations.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2024Publication date: November 28, 2024Inventors: Stephen P. Huda, Michael J. Sherman, Steven J. Haehn, Erik R. Klimpel

Patent number: 12086741Abstract: Crowd funding for innovation includes distributing a proposal with a description of a project idea, an amount of funds requested, and a time frame for raising the funds. Ownership of the project is transferred to an entity, which receives contributions from contributors and for each of the received contributions converts the contribution to a corresponding amount of virtual coin and adds the contribution to the funds. If the funding goal is complete within the time frame, the entity converts the coins to actual money and releases the money to the requestor. After completion of the project, the entity determines if the project is successful and can commercialize successful projects. For certain successful projects, the entity can also distribute funds to the contributors.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2020Date of Patent: September 10, 2024Assignee: Solventum Intellectual Properties CompanyInventors: Audrey A. Patent number: 12042752Abstract: A filter assembly for fluid filtration having a push-activated lock and release mechanism. A push filter design activates a floating key lock upon insertion and extraction, where the filter key may be used simultaneously as a lock and as an identifier for particular filter attributes. The filter base may be situated inline, and in fluid communication, with influent and effluent piping, such as within a refrigerator. The filter housing assembly may be attached to, and removed from, the filter base by a push-actuated release. Patent number: 12018356Abstract: A castable, moldable, and/or extrudable structure using a metallic primary alloy. One or more additives are added to the metallic primary alloy so that in situ galvanically-active reinforcement particles are formed in the melt or on cooling from the melt. The composite contains an optimal composition and morphology to achieve a specific galvanic corrosion rate in the entire composite. The in situ formed galvanically-active particles can be used to enhance mechanical properties of the composite, such as ductility and/or tensile strength. The final casting can also be enhanced by heat treatment, as well as deformation processing such as extrusion, forging, or rolling, to further improve the strength of the final composite over the as-cast material.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2020Date of Patent: June 25, 2024Assignee: TERVES INC.Inventors: Brian P. Patent number: 11956162Abstract: An asynchronous medium access control layer scheduler increases efficiency for directional mesh networks by removing extra overhead in the time slots. The efficiency is increased by dividing time slots into sub-slots to allow for a receiving node to be offset by at least one sub-slot from the transmitting node. This enables the scheduler to more efficiently schedule operations for the nodes so that nodes can be performing other functions rather than waiting to receive a transmission or waiting after transmitting a transmission. The sub-slots may be sized to approximate the transmission propagation time or time of flight delay.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2023Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc.Inventors: Matthew J.
