  • Patent number: 12253057
Abstract: A hydraulic turbine motor has a rotor housing and a rotor rotatably supported in the rotor housing that defines a plurality of rotor chambers arranged circumferentially about the rotor in which each rotor chamber has a respective outlet port. Injectors are supported at circumferentially spaced locations about the housing so as to be arranged to inject hydraulic fluid in a generally tangential direction relative to the rotor axis into selected ones of the rotor chambers in which the injectors include first and second injectors. A valve mechanism is configured to open any outlet port in which the respective rotor chamber is in communication with one of the first injectors and to maintain closed any outlet port in which the respective rotor chamber is in communication with one of the second injectors.

  • Publication number: 20240318086
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for producing oil from feedstock containing hydrocarbons. The system may include a first condenser that receives a vapor, which contains hydrocarbons. The first condenser may use a light oil to cool and condense a portion of the vapor into a heavy oil. The system may include a second condenser that receives the uncondensed portion of the vapor. The second condenser may use a light oil to cool and condense a portion of the vapor into a heavy oil and a mixture of oil and water. The system may include a separator to separate the light oil from the water. The light oil may be recirculated to the first condenser and the second condenser.

  • Patent number: 11918199
Abstract: A surgical tissue connector system for moving a first internal body tissue to a position away from a second internal body tissue and then holding the first internal body tissue in the position. Tissue connectors are secured to cords such that the length of cord between the tissue connectors can be easily adjusted in a laparoscopic work space.

  • Publication number: 20240001952
Abstract: Systems and methods for triggering and issuing safety warnings, including a risk-assessment system that collects movement data pertaining to each of a plurality of subsystems including one or more slow-moving subsystems (SMSSs) and/or one or more fast-moving subsystems (FMSSs). The risk-assessment system identifies, based at least in part on the collected movement data, an instance in which each of a set of warning-triggering conditions is true. The set includes (i) that a likelihood of a collision occurring among an identified subset of the plurality of subsystems is greater than a collision-probability threshold and (ii) that at least one of the subsystems in the identified subset has at least one current movement anomaly. In response to identifying the instance, the risk-assessment system issues at least one warning to at least one of the subsystems in the identified subset.

  • Publication number: 20230269860
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide a betatron for accelerating electrons. For example, the betatron can include magnet core parts spaced apart by an air gap. At least one main coil can be arranged on the magnet core parts. A betatron tube can be arranged in the air gap for electrons to circulate therein. A control circuit can be electrically coupled to the main coil. The control circuit can be configured to control a main coil current flowing through the main coil, such that as the control circuit increases the main coil current during a current ramp up period, the control circuit maintains the main coil current at a constant level during an injection period when the electrons are injected into the betatron. The current ramp up period can include a short pause and the injection period.
