  • Publication number: 20240116833
Abstract: The invention relates to a sulfur coated granular fertilizer, having a polymer coating on the sulfur layer, wherein the polymer coating comprises polycaprolactone. The sulfur coated granular fertilizer may have an aliphatic polyester a polymer coating on the sulfur layer, and has the following characteristics when tested in a standardized water leach test: a. an initial release of about 20% nutrient or less in 24 h, preferably of about 15% or less; b. a release of more than 4% of the nutrient content between the days 14 and 21 from the beginning of the water leach test, preferable of about 5% or more.

  • Publication number: 20240002309
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a controlled release fertilizer of potassium chloride comprising the following steps: a. providing compacted KCl, having a sphericity of below 0.87; b. dry polishing the KCl in an intensive mixer type device consisting of a container vessel and at least one set of agitating elements such that the KCl has a sphericity of between 0.88 and 0.92; c. providing a coating on said polished KCl. The polished and coated compacted KCl can show with 6 pph coating a release of about 18% after 7 days measured with a water leach test at 21 C. The polished and coated compacted KCl may have one or more of the following release properties: a release at 10 days of about 20% or less; and/or a release at 30 days of 40% or less; and/or a release at 50 days of 50% or less.

  • Publication number: 20120165583
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the recycling of plastics materials, in particular waste plastics materials, into chemical feed stocks and hydrocarbon fractions. The present invention also relates to novel zeolite based catalysts used in such methods. The present invention also relates to methods of manufacturing such zeolite based catalysts. Plastics waste is traditionally disposed of by land-fill, incineration or recycling by re-processing the waste into raw material for reuse. Each of these disposal methods has its disadvantages. The drawbacks of land-fill are self apparent. Although incineration may include energy recovery, there still remains the obvious problem of CO2 emission and the emission of other toxic pollutants. Additionally, recycling the plastics requires sorting of the plastics waste because certain types of plastics materials are not recyclable, and mixtures of plastics can be problematic.
