Abstract: An improved animal feeding device for storing and dispensing feed is disclosed that includes a trough and a hopper located above the trough and having opposite sides, opposite ends, an open bottom, and an open top. A downwardly sloping baffle is disposed within the hopper and having a base secured to the trough. A first slide is moveably connected to the hopper and positioned adjacent the base of the baffle, which prevents rain and other moisture from entering the hopper and saturating the feed. A second slide is moveably connected to the hopper and positioned in spaced alignment to the first slide to provide protection from the elements. An animal feeding facility also is provided for housing the animal feeding device.
