  • Publication number: 20240147183
Abstract: Techniques and devices are described for generating modified audio signals. The techniques include receiving an audio signal at a device, tracking a movement of the device, generating a first modified audio signal to spatialize the audio signal, generating a second modified audio signal to spatialize the audio signal, causing the first modified audio signal to be rendered using a first speaker of the device, and causing the second modified audio signal to be rendered using a second speaker of the device. In some cases, the first modified audio signal is generated using a first head-related transfer function (HRTF) and the movement of the device, and the second modified audio signal is generated using a second HRTF and the movement of the device, where the second HRTF is different from the first HRTF. Numerous variations and configurations will be apparent in view of this disclosure.

  • Patent number: 11937074
Abstract: The present document relates to methods and apparatus for rendering input audio for playback in a playback environment. The input audio includes at least one audio object and associated metadata, and the associated metadata indicates at least a location of the audio object. A method for rendering input audio including divergence metadata for playback in a playback environment comprises creating two additional audio objects associated with the audio object such that respective locations of the two additional audio objects are evenly spaced from the location of the audio object, on opposite sides of the location of the audio object when seen from an intended listener's position in the playback environment, determining respective weight factors for application to the audio object and the two additional audio objects, and rendering the audio object and the two additional audio objects to one or more speaker feeds in accordance with the determined weight factors.

  • Patent number: 11861924
Abstract: Systems and methods here may be used for pre-processing images, including using a computer for receiving a pixelated image of a paper document of an original size, downscaling the received pixelated image, employing a neural network algorithm to the downscaled image to identify four corners of the paper document in the received pixelated image, re-enlarging the downscaled image to the original size, identifying each of four corners of the paper document in the pixelated image, determining a quadrilateral composed of lines that intersect at four angles at the four corners of the paper document in the pixelated image, defining a projective plane of the pixelated image, and determining an inverse transformation of the pixelated image to transform the projective plane quadrilateral into a right angled rectangle.

  • Patent number: 11816883
Abstract: A processor may generate a plurality of intermediate feature layers of an image using convolutional neural network (CNN) processing. For each intermediate feature layer, the processor may generate a plurality of text proposals using a region proposal network (RPN). Each text proposal may comprise a portion of the intermediate feature layer that is predicted to contain text. The processor may perform OCR processing on image data within a plurality of regions of the image to generate a text result for each region. Each region may comprise at least one of the text proposals. The processor may assemble the text results into a text string comprising the text results ordered according to a spatial order in which the plurality of regions appear within the image.

  • Patent number: 11816430
Abstract: A document extraction system executed by a processor, may process documents using manual and automated systems. The document extraction system may efficiently route tasks to the manual and automated systems based on a predicted probability that the results generated by the automated system meet some baseline level of accuracy. To increase document processing speed, documents having a high likelihood of accurate automated processing may be routed to an automated system. To ensure a baseline level of accuracy, documents having a smaller likelihood of accurate automated processing may be routed to a manual system.

  • Publication number: 20230316157
Abstract: A machine learning system executed by a processor may generate predictions for a variety of natural language processing (NLP) tasks. The machine learning system may include a single deployment implementing a parameter efficient transfer learning architecture. The machine learning system may use adapter layers to dynamically modify a base model to generate a plurality of fine-tuned models. Each fine-tuned model may generate predictions for a specific NLP task. By transferring knowledge from the base model to each fine-tuned model, the ML system achieves a significant reduction in the number of tunable parameters required to generate a fine-tuned NLP model and decreases the fine-tuned model artifact size. Additionally, the ML system reduces training times for fine-tuned NLP models, promotes transfer learning across NLP tasks with lower labeled data volumes, and enables easier and more computationally efficient deployments for multi-task NLP.

  • Publication number: 20230239340
Abstract: In some implementations, a device may receive file location information identifying a file to be transferred to a user device associated with the first network provider, wherein the file location information identifies a domain name associated with a second network provider. The device may provide, based on the file location information, a request to obtain one or more records associated with the domain name. The device may receive the one or more records based on the request. The device may selectively obtain, based on the one or more records, the file from a first content device associated with the second network provider or from a second content device associated with a third-party provider. The device may provide the file to the user device.

  • Patent number: 11692350
Abstract: Enclosures are used to attenuate noise produced by a high decibel producing device, such as a gas turbine engine or other rotating machinery. However, enclosures that achieve high Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings are generally expensive and immobile, whereas inexpensive and mobile enclosures are generally incapable of achieving high STC ratings. Accordingly, a composite noise-attenuating panel system is disclosed that can achieve the high STC ratings associated with immobile, site-erected enclosures, using subpanels that are separated by an air gap and an internal filler (e.g., mineral wool), while maintaining the weight, form factor, and ease of use associated with lightweight, modular mobile enclosures.

  • Patent number: 11637765
Abstract: Various arrangements for monitoring and enforcing multi-tier throughput assignments in a network, such as satellite-based communication network, are presented. Throughput usage may be monitored on a beam-level, satellite-level, gateway-level, and system level. Throughput usage for individual satellite terminals may be aggregated and used to determine the throughput usage on an entity-by-entity basis. An entity can have one or more sub-entities to which throughput is allocated. Excessive throughput usage for higher-tier entities can result in throughput being restricted for satellite terminals associated with lower-tier entities.
