  • Publication number: 20240059565
Abstract: Black phosphorous (BP) flakes are nanostructured via electrochemical intercalation of Na+ ions into bundles of phosphorene nanoribbons (PNRs). The large diffusion barrier of Na+ ions along the armchair direction leads to a well-defined columnar intercalation of Na+ ions in BP, resulting in the long zigzag-oriented columns of disordered material. The sonication of the bundles is then used to separate the PNRs.

  • Publication number: 20240051829
Abstract: Thermoelectric devices including Arsenic-Phos-phorous (AsxP1-x) as a source of power, wherein x is a number ranging from 0.1 to 1, are provided. Methods of making crystalline Arsenic-Phosphorous (AsxP1-x), wherein x ranges from 0.1 to 1, are also provided. The methods include annealing phosphorous and arsenic at a temperature and under conditions sufficient to produce crystalline formation.

  • Patent number: 10584033
Abstract: A method for synthesizing carbon nanocages, including N-doped carbon nanocages, includes a first step of forming a solution including a metal salt and an organic carbon source; a second step of drying the solution to obtain a precursor powder; and a third step of annealing the precursor powder to obtain a nanocage including a metal nanoparticle surrounded by a carbon shell. The metal nanoparticle is then removed from the carbon shell by applying an acid solution.
