  • Patent number: 6557440
Abstract: The invention relates to a portable cork-screw provided with conventional spiral extraction means (1) which is hinged by means of a pin (4) to a planar part (2) constitutive of the cork screw body, in a position displaced towards one of its ends, the part being provided with two recess (5, 6) in opposite edges; one recess (5) is proximate to the articulation of the spiral (1); a second part (3) is hinged to the end of the part (2) which is closer to the pin (4); the second part (3) is formed by a first cylindrical portion (3a) which is hinged at a first end to the part (2) by means of a pin (7) and is rotationally joined by its other end to a second cylindrical portion (3a); the final section of said second portion is lowered to form a first curved portion having the shape of a tile; said first portion (3a) has a longitudinal opening which is slightly longer than the distance existing between the recess (5) and the hinge pin (7) of the second part (3).

  • Patent number: 6327936
Abstract: The invention relates to a portable cork-screw provided with a conventional spiral-shaped extraction means which is articulated to the body in a position offset towards one of its extremities, said body having a C-shaped cross-section, and having in one of its walls a circular recess with two cutting protuberances in spaced longitudinal positions, said protuberances being usable as a crown cork lifter, and presenting at said extremity which is closer to the spiral a pair of arms which are hinged to a same pin and having substantially different lengths; the two arms are provided at their respective extremities with stepped portions so that they can bear against the upper edge of the neck of the bottle; the longer arm has a wide opening traversed by the shorter arm.

  • Patent number: 6324944
Abstract: A spiral for a corkscrew has a spiral member with a pointed end for introduction into a cork of a bottle and also, with a part which is located opposite to the pointed introduction end and having an opposite end, a ball bearing connected with the opposite end of the spiral member, so that during introduction of the spiral member into a cork and removal of the screw member from the cork the spiral member is rotated relative to a rest of the corkscrew, and an element for connecting the ball bearing with the opposite end of the part of the screw member.

  • Patent number: 6073519
Abstract: A portable corkscrew has a body provided with an axial stepped hole where a plunger assembly has been housed and provided with a housing in which a cap appears which, at its lower end, supports a helicoidal rod, while at its upper face it leans against a spherical surface housed in a hole formed in a piece internal to the plunger and provided with a transverse hole to which a manually actuable external lever has been articulated by a pin, the plunger being further provided with two lateral holding elements which at its upper side end are pivotally articulated by means of respective axles against the action of associated springs while the lower ends of these holding elements have been shaped as hooks with their spikes being outwardly directed, this assembly being capable of longitudinal displacement when the mentioned external lever is manually operated.
