  • Publication number: 20090211123
Abstract: A device generally intended to be used for providing a magnetic surface that can be temporarily attached to a non-magnetic surface. The device includes a board element and an attachment assembly. The attachment assembly can be, for example, suction or adhesive based, and can enable the board element to be attached to many substantially flat surfaces. The board element can include a piece of sheet steel or a composite of sheet steel and other suitable structural materials. One or more surfaces of the board element can be coated to provide a smooth non-porous surface. The non-porous surface can enable the use of, among other things, dry-erase markers and other erasable writing implements.

  • Patent number: 7580643
Abstract: This invention relates to systems and methods for wireless and wired optical data communications, in particular infrared data communications using techniques borrowed ultra wideband (UWB) radio. An optical data communications receiver for receiving data encoded using optical pulse position, the receiver comprising: an optical signal reception device; a reference signal memory for storing a reference channel response signal; and a correlator coupled to said reference signal memory and to said optical signal reception device for correlating a received optical pulse with said stored reference channel response signal to determine said optical pulse position; an output coupled to said correlator to provide pulse position data for said received optical pulse.

  • Patent number: 7490231
Abstract: Aspects of a method and system for blocking data in scan registers from being shifted out of a device may comprise preventing data intrusion in an integrated circuit by generating a device reset signal prior to entering scan mode. The method may further comprise detecting an attempt to enter said scan mode. The device reset signal may also be an internal reset signal. A subsequent device reset signal may be generated after entering scan mode. The subsequent device reset signal may be an internal pulse signal. The method may further comprise clearing stored data in an integrated circuit after generating a subsequent device reset signal.

  • Patent number: 5304790
Abstract: In accordance with the invention a system is described for controllably varying the resolution of an image event to conserve data output by varying the size of the instantaneous IFOV of an array of detectors. The system comprises a multiplicity of individual detectors which produce an electrical signal in response to an image stimulus. The detectors are connected to busing circuitry by a circuit associated with each individual detector and which is in parallel with the circuits from the other detectors. Each parallel circuit includes a switch for making and breaking the parallel circuit to the busing circuit and control means are provided for opening and closing the switches in real time. As the switches are opened and closed the output signals of the detectors are combined into signals representing pixels having various size instantaneous fields of view depending on the number of detectors whose signals are combined.

  • Patent number: 4478439
Abstract: A fluid-conveying coupling assembly in which a plurality of torsionally deflectable seal rings establish a redundant seal between interconnected coupling structures and in which each seal ring is torsionally deflected to its seal-establishing condition by engagement with just one pair of formations on the coupling structure.
