  • Publication number: 20240145164
Abstract: An isolation transformer boost system configured to be electrically connected to a shore power supply. The system including an isolation transformer having a primary winding and a secondary winding; and an electronic processor configured to operate in a static mode, wherein in the static mode the electronic processor is configured to activate an electrical characteristic boost when the system is initially powered by the shore power supply.

Inventors: Steve Liscinsky, Jean-Yves Schneider, Joseph DiMaria, Jack Brunier
  • Patent number: 11848148
Abstract: A system and method for an isolation transformer boost system. The system includes an isolation transformer, a sensor, and an electronic processor coupled to the sensor. The electronic processor configured to receive an electrical characteristic measurement from the sensor, compare the electrical characteristic measurement to a predetermined threshold, and activate an electrical characteristic boost when the electrical characteristic measurement is below the predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 11603173
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for continuous monitoring and control of the vessel performance and history of a vessel, and is configured for use with multiple wide-area network (WAN) interfaces. The disclosed systems can use multiple vessel system interfaces and inputs and outputs to log, report, and transmit vital information via a computer program that adapts to weighted metrics and WAN availability. This can help ensure that prioritized data always is sent first; while ancillary and auxiliary data are sent later through a transmission medium that is directed, timely, and fiscally responsible. Thus, real-time data can be processed to hasten repairs or troubleshooting, and long-term data can be analyzed for safety and nominal operation of machinery.

  • Patent number: 11303123
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for continuously and automatically monitoring, controlling, and combining shore-based AC power sources for waterborne vessels while the vessels are at dock or in port. The systems can allow a one or more shore AC power AC to power the entire vessel, and automatically and safely join multiple power sources to power a single higher-current-capacity electrical distribution bus on the vessel. The systems can automatically monitor and evaluate the characteristics of multiple shore power sources to determine when it is possible to safely combine the sources. Also, the systems can recognize the disconnection/disablement of a shore power source, and can un-combine that power source from the other power sources feeding the system. The systems can automatically evaluate the phase, current and voltage of multiple AC sources, and combine the sources only after a specific set of conditions are satisfied.
