  • Patent number: 6973681
Abstract: A spa jet mounting assembly and method of installing and utilizing the same. An outer housing with an interior threaded chamber is connected to water and air pipes outside a bath. An inner housing, with an external threaded section is inserted through a passageway in the bath, and threadedly fastened within the threaded chamber of the outer housing. The bath surface and one or more gaskets are secured between flanges of the inner and outer housings. The inner housing includes one or more ports to drain water from the assembly. The opening in the bath can be sealed with an o-ring or by forming a seal via silicone injection. With the injection technique, silicone is injected into the inlet port of the outer housing, air is released through the outlet port of the outer housing, and a seal is formed around the passageway.

  • Patent number: 6691336
Abstract: A spa jet for delivering water from an upstream source of water under pressure to the interior of a spa, the spa jet having a housing with an inlet tube communicating with the source of water and a chamber wall defining a generally cup shaped chamber. A retaining ring is connected to and inside of the chamber wall. A form having an annular upstream portion is fixed against axial movement between the chamber wall the retaining ring. The form has a downstream portion extending from the annular portion in the form of a shaft aligned with the axis. The spa jet also has a rotor with a generally cylindrical body concentric with the axis, the body having a bearing surface extending around the shaft which supports the body for rotating. At least one nozzle passage extends through the rotor which collects water from the inlet tube and directs the water as a water jet into the spa at an angle sufficient to impart a turning moment to the rotor about the axis.

  • Patent number: 6491238
Abstract: A rotary spa jet, of the type which comprises a nozzle rotatably mounted within the end of a spa jet housing by a radial ball bearing, is provided with an internal flow guide to reduce impairment of the free rotation of the nozzle caused by debris in the spa water. The flow guide is positioned within the spa jet housing and acts on a portion of the water flow which reaches and flows through the radial ball bearing to flush and lubricate it. The flow guide includes one or more annular baffle walls which deflect water flow which reduce the amount of water that flows through the bearing and slows down its rate of flow to promote settlement and collection of debris before it reaches the bearing.

  • Patent number: 4964753
Abstract: A soil compactor having three compacting rollers supported from a frame with each of the rollers being independently powered by a hydraulic motor with the controls for the hydraulic motors being located at the rear of the compactor so that an operator walking behind the compactor will be able to control movement of the compactor. A vibration device is supported from a frame in generally a central position between the single front roller and the pair of rear rollers. The vibration device is an eccentric weight on a shaft driven at high speeds by a hydraulic motor with the central location of the vibration device producing a vibrating effect to aid in compaction and also aiding in maneuverability by providing a "floating" effect.
