  • Patent number: 4917268
Abstract: A dispensing package is provided that includes a liquid container and a drainback spout fitment fitted within a dispensing opening in a finish at the upper end thereof. A measuring cup is threadedly engageable with the fitment and finish to enable closing off of the container. The fitment includes a frustoconical downwardly depending side wall surrounding and spaced from the spout. A drainback channel between the spout and side wall drains back drips to a drain opening and thence into the liquid container. An interlock and centering means is provided between the finish and fitment to center the fitment with respect to the finish to assist the sealing system in preventing leaks as well as to prevent rotation of the fitment when the cup is rotated out of engagement for removal.

  • Patent number: 4585150
Abstract: The apparatus of this invention is for dispensing two liquids so that the ratio K of the flow rates of the liquids is substantially constant. The apparatus comprises two containers each having a dispensing orifice and an air vent passage having two ends, an inlet end at the outside surface of the container and an outlet end inside the container. In the preferred embodiment, the containers are geometrically proportional in shape with the dispensing or pouring orifices and vent passages all in corresponding locations. The ratio of the cross-sectional areas of the pouring orifices of the two containers is C K.sup.5/6 where C is the ratio of the flow coefficients of the two liquids to be poured.

  • Patent number: 4507811
Abstract: A toilet bowl cleaner dispenser includes a reservoir for holding cleaner to be dispensed, an air cavity disposed below the reservoir, an air conduit including a portion communicating with an inlet to the reservoir, a portion communicating with an outlet from the reservoir, a fill tube connecting the air cavity and the portion communicating with reservoir inlet, a measuring tube in communication with the air conduit, and a discharge tube connected to the measuring tube. The dispenser has no moving parts and is operable in response to rising toilet tank water to communicate pressurized air to the measuring tube to dispense a measured amount of cleaner from the discharge tube, which is configured to hook on and discharge into a toilet overflow tube.A holding pocket is formed in the lower end of the fill tube to provide for a controlled release of cleaner from the measuring tube.
