  • Publication number: 20180130554
Abstract: Implementations of a Patient Flow Timer (PFT) system for measuring a patient's movement and wait times through a medical office (i.e., patient flow) are provided. In some implementations, for each activity, office person to be seen, or event that the patient will encounter during the patient's office visit, a start time, stop time, and total time spent may be recorded using the PFT system. In some implementations, the wait time between adjacent activities, office persons, or events, may be calculated and recorded. The data may be captured using a computing device having a user-interface for capturing start times and stop times. By capturing data real-time, real-time displays can be created to show the state of patient flow in an office and office wait times can be computed.

  • Publication number: 20140065612
Abstract: A method for in vitro detecting keratin gene fusion of squamous-cell cancer comprises steps: (a) obtaining a sample of squamous cells from a testee; and (b) detecting whether the sample of squamous cells has gene fusion, which is likely to occur in squamous-cell cancer and unlikely to occur in healthy tissue. The sample of squamous cells is determined to have squamous-cell cancer if the gene fusion exists in the sample of squamous cells.

  • Publication number: 20130205224
Abstract: The present invention teaches, among other things, a graphical user interface system for enhancing the management of budgeting and scheduling of projects serviced by and among a plurality of independent parties, comprising, in combination, the steps of: providing a color-coded, multi-tier graphical user interface which illustrates a value-based sequence of project data, said interface being capable of providing the system user with physical and virtual product data relating to one or more of the industries such as, without limitation, architecture, construction, and filmmaking; capturing information relating to at least one particular trade; presenting captured data as a plurality of mini-projects; storing and linking data flow activities for a system user operation; providing based upon resource value and schedule a Web or cloud-based software-as-a-service model in a tree-like interactive graphic; graphically presenting to the system user the status of a given project; providing the system user, by one or mo

  • Patent number: 8035201
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a method for forming reliable interconnects by the use of a device layer that can serve as a barrier or an etch stop layer, among other applications. The device layer is UV resistant in that its dielectric constant and stress remain stable or relatively stable when subjected to UV curing.

  • Patent number: 6936951
Abstract: An ultrastiff precision sonic bearing assembly and method thereof for controlling an effective coefficient of friction between two elements in slidable contact configured along an interface under a force sufficient to maintain contact and having static friction therebetween, by inducing a repetitive motion in one of the elements parallel to the interface thereby altering the effective coefficient of friction therebetween. The bearing assembly also provides for additional and independent electronic control over the average thickness thereof and senses the force thereon to allow the bearing assembly stiffness to be altered.

  • Publication number: 20050064048
Abstract: The invention provides an organic extract of Geum japonicum thunb var. (EGJ), and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same. The organic EGJ has been identified to show potent dual effects on stimulating early growth (less than 48 hours) of new vessels both in ischemic heart muscles and in infracted heart muscles, and on triggering myocardial regeneration in myocardial infarction, and therefore, may be used in the treatment of ischemic diseases in human being or animals including ischemic heart disease and ischemic limbs, and damaged myocardium associated diseases.
