The infusion set reduces and delays fibrotic capsule formation on and around an infusion cannula, and increases the effective lifetime of an infusion set significantly. The infusion set comprises a deflectable therapy reservoir to “actively” diffuse insulin and negate the effects of the foreign body response (FBR).
