  • Patent number: 8190246
Abstract: A system is provided for obtaining and analyzing biological data of a subject. The system includes a biological data recording device that can sense biological signals of a subject over time and record the sensed biological signals as biological data. The system also includes an event time recording device that is physically separate from, and does not communicate with, the biological data recording device. The event time recording device includes a user actuatable component, and also includes a recording component that records user actuation data, which includes a time stamp indication as to when any instances of user actuation occurred. The system also includes equipment that can periodically receive the recorded biological data from the biological data recording device and the user actuation data from the event time recording device, and can correlate the biological data and the user actuation data to generate correlated biological data.

  • Patent number: 6935163
Abstract: A method for gas pressurizing of parts for leakage detection including an enhanced process for reliably achieving full gas pressurization of the part to a predetermined test pressure value and monitoring for various errors which may occur during pressurization, and after pressure and temperature settling, taking an instantaneous snapshot pressure measurement and calculating two pressure thresholds. A snapshot pressure measurement is compared to a slam threshold value after termination of the slam time period and if pressure remains above the threshold signaling “good” and terminating the test. If the measured pressure reads below the slam threshold during slam test then the slam test terminates and the standard threshold test will then be performed repeatedly over the total test time which will yield a good result unless the pressure goes below the standard threshold during total test time which will then yield a bad part result.

  • Patent number: 5451770
Abstract: A solid state machine controller for actuating a machine. The machine controller requires near simultaneous interruption of two photo-optic beams by fingers from both operator hands to actuate the machine. The beams are part of switches located at opposite ends of a tubular enclosure. The photo-optic beams are located in annular openings surrounded by embossed rings to prevent beam generator and receiver soiling as well as accidental machine actuation.

  • Patent number: 5195435
Abstract: A continuous multi-station intaglio printing system enables use of a continuous web of letterhead paper or business card stock to which various indicia of single of multiple colors may be engraved in precise registration and subsequently severed or die cut into individual sheets of letterhead paper or business cards of regular or irregular shape. Each engraving station includes a hydraulic press to perform the engraving operation by means of an engraving die. The engraving die is removably mounted to a support using aligned pins and openings to effect precise registration of the engraving die. Registration of the engraving die, as well as a cutting die, may be precisely obtained with respect to the indicia on the engraved web material using a photo optic sensor for detecting a registration mark on the web material. Precision multi-colored engraving, as well as precision die cutting of the web material may be obtained in a multi-station intaglio printing system.

  • Patent number: 4610279
Abstract: A cutter-bender tool for the cutting and bending of resistor leads is described. The cutter-bender tool is simple to operate and involves an operating procedure whereby the resistor is simply dropped into a slot and a handle is depressed. Upon release of the handle, the finished, trimmed and bent resistor drops from an outlet slot in the bottom of the tool.
