  • Patent number: 12223009
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for performing efficient vector-matrix multiplication using a sparsely-connected conductance matrix and analog mixed signal (AMS) techniques. Metal electrodes are sparsely connected using coaxial nanowires. Each electrode can be used as an input/output node or neuron in a neural network layer. Neural network synapses are created by random connections provided by coaxial nanowires. A subset of the metal electrodes can be used to receive a vector of input voltages and the complementary subset of the metal electrodes can be used to read output currents. The output currents are the result of vector-matrix multiplication of the vector of input voltages with the sparsely-connected matrix of conductances.

  • Patent number: 12218255
Abstract: A vertical gallium nitride (GaN) PN diode uses epitaxial growth of a thick drift region with a very low carrier concentration and a carefully designed multi-zone junction termination extension to achieve high voltage blocking and high-power efficiency. An exemplary large area (1 mm2) diode had a forward pulsed current of 3.5 A, an 8.3 m?-cm2 specific on-resistance, and a 5.3 kV reverse breakdown. A smaller area diode (0.063 mm2) was capable of 6.4 kV breakdown with a specific on-resistance of 10.2 m?-cm2, when accounting for current spreading through the drift region at a 45° angle.

  • Publication number: 20250032967
Abstract: Improvements to filtration and vessels such as for filtration and coalescing of gas streams are shown. A filter element with a partial treated region and untreated region such as providing different surface energies or other filtration characteristics are provided. Various keying arrangements for compatibility and/or rotational locking are shown between the filtration vessel, a tubular coalescing baffle, and/or filter element. The tubular coalescing baffle also may include non-louvered pore structure, which provides for more even flow in a two stage type filtration vessel to prevent premature exiting and reduction of flow velocities along the second stage, and/or may additionally or alternatively include drainage apertures such as drain slot formed along a gravitational bottom or otherwise to facilitate additional drainage of coalesced liquid as opposed to letting such liquid be forced through fluid velocity toward the open end of the tubular baffle.

  • Patent number: 12210957
Abstract: A method for performing learning is described. A free inference is performed on a learning network for input signals. The input signals correspond to target output signals. The learning network includes inputs that receive the input signals, neurons, weights interconnecting the neurons, and outputs. The learning network is described by an energy for the free inference. The energy includes an interaction term corresponding to interactions consisting of neuron pair interactions. The free inference results in output signals. A first portion of the plurality of weights corresponding to data flow for the free inference. A biased inference is performed on the learning network by providing the input signals to the inputs and bias signals to the outputs. The bias signals are based on the target output signals and the output signals. The bias signals are fed back to the learning network through a second portion of the weights corresponding to a transpose of the first portion of the weights.

  • Patent number: 12134541
Abstract: A cable reel for retaining a continuous length of cable is preferably constructed using an inexpensive plastic material, such as corrugated plastic. In one embodiment, the cable reel includes a hollow tubular core with a set of outward radial tabs integrally formed at each of its ends. A single, disc-shaped, interior support flange is mounted within the interior of the core in circumferential contact therewith to provide structural rigidity. Additionally, on each end of the core, an annular inner flange and a disc-shaped outer flange are disposed in coaxial alignment with one another against opposing surfaces of its corresponding set of radial tabs and are fixedly secured together as part of the assembly process. The multi-flange construction enables the thickness, diameter and/or material properties of the ends of the cable reel to be adjusted, as needed, to accommodate the strength and dimensional requirements of the intended application.
