  • Patent number: 4314671
Abstract: A pressure jet spray cleaning apparatus having a body member or structure with an elongate passageway for air having an inlet for connection to a source of air pressure and a water passageway having an inlet for connection to a source of water supply with each of the water passageway and air passageway having flow control means for selectively controlling the quantity of water and air moving therethrough. At least a portion of the passageways are arranged with the air passageway inside of and concentric with a water passageway with each having a nozzle in line with the discharge of the air nozzle and spaced from the water discharge end to form a venturi therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4200236
Abstract: A mobile water jet sweep cleaner for movement over surfaces to be cleaned having a housing with a top wall, depending front and end walls and intermediate ribs with bottom opening notches therein. An elongate spray pipe is positioned in the notches and retained therein by caster structures secured to the housing. A brush is on the housing rearwardly of the spray pipe with end portions extending outwardly of the end walls, the lower ends of the brush being normally spaced slightly from the surface to be cleaned. A pipe means communicates with the spray pipe and extends through an aperture in the brush and is connected to an elongate pipe that extends upwardly and rearwardly forming a handle portion terminating any fitting for connection to a conduit for supply of water under pressure. The handle means has a cut off valve with a slide member operatively connected thereto for opening the cut off valve on forward movement and closing the cut off valve on rearward movement.

  • Patent number: 4007510
Abstract: A carpet care tool beautifies, fluffs and cleans carpet fibers by brushing its relatively short, densely disposed and uniformly slanted filaments against the carpet fibers in one direction as the tool is drawn in a sweeping stroke in pressing engagement with the carpet. Pushing the tool in the opposite direction while pressed against the carpet quickly dislodges the entrapped foreign matter such as lint, hairs, threads and dust particles so they can be quite easily picked up and discarded. The specially contoured brushing head, together with its resilient padding arrangement to give uniform deflection over the entire working surface of the head, plus trilobed slanted filaments of the brush fabric itself, all cooperate to provide a well-groomed, beautifully finished carpet appearance not possible with mere vacuuming techniques.
