  • Patent number: 8167450
Abstract: Disclosed is a portable light that can be secured to most any fixed object by use of an elastic band attachment mechanism. The elastic band securement device is form fitting and fully adjustable with the ends of the securement device placed beneath a cover of the light during installation, wherein the cover of the light conceals the attachment mechanism to prevent accidental disengagement of the light from the object of attachment. In operation, the base of the light has a cover which is secured by a latch, hook and loop, thumb screws or any other type of fastener which upon removal exposes the light and the two ends of the elastic cord. A portion of the elastic cord is secured around a fixed object and the bitter end of the cord is drawn tight and placed through a cord fastener so as to secure the cord in a secured and tensioned position. The cover is then replaced, thereby concealing the ends of the elastic band from disengagement.

  • Publication number: 20100288274
Abstract: A device for use with a self contained breathing apparatus, such as a SCBA tank, which allows a user to display different indicia on the tank. The indicia are preferably illuminated by a self contained illumination system also located on the tank. The device allows a user to readily interchange the indicia so that the currently displayed indicia provide a specific message or indicate a specific condition to an individual observing the tank and related indicia. The illumination system permits the indicia on the tank to be clearly seen in poorly lighted environments, such as deep underwater, or in environments with poor visibility, such as in smoke-filled rooms associated with fires.

  • Publication number: 20100286910
Abstract: An illuminated safety net having a matrix arrangement of woven flexible material including an array of intersecting rows and columns that define a plurality of open spaces and an outer edge thereabout having a mounting means for attachment to a surface; a plurality of electrical leads interlaced within the rows or columns of the matrix of the net; a plurality of light sources coupled to the plurality of electrical leads and positioned at the intersection of the rows and columns; and a battery pack coupled to the electrical leads providing a power source to the plurality of lights. The illuminated safety net serves as a rescue marker or warning means to others. The illuminated safety net is compact enough to be stored in a rolled-up fashion and be conveniently stowed away in confined areas. The illuminated safety net may use auxiliary light sources not requiring a power source attached thereabout the net as a secondary means to illuminate.

  • Publication number: 20100266722
Abstract: A food product and method are provided. The food product includes a bundle of grass leaves secured together by a wrapper. A container of a supplemental material is associated with the wrapper for distribution with the bundle. The food product including wrapper and container are pressed to extract liquid from the grass leaves and simultaneously rupture the container to release its contents for mixing with the extracted liquid. The resulting pulp, wrapper and container are separated from the liquid. The liquid can then be consumed as part of a human's diet.
