  • Patent number: 11383746
Abstract: An adjustable tray assembly is configured to span a distance between the handle of a shopping cart to the backrest of the seat area. The assembly is adjustable to different sizes of shopping carts by utilizing an attachment member within a tray portion at the handle that can be located in different positions, and by permitting the pivoting of an arm portion of the assembly. The pivoting nature of the arm portion allows the arm portion to adjust to the different depth of the seat areas and type of cart. A latch is used to secure the arm portion to the backrest of the seat area. A hollowed area is formed in the arm portion for a child to use the seat area.

  • Patent number: 7441783
Abstract: An easily adjustable cart for transporting loads short distances having a moving bed that is moveable from between upper and lower levels and is mounted on a telescoping frame. The frame extends longitudinally to allow a user to install front and rear trestles in order to raise the bed from the lower level to the upper level and alter the configuration of the cart in order to accommodate loads of varying shapes and sizes. The frame includes a lower support for a handle that prevents bowing when the frame is subjected to heavy loads.

  • Patent number: 5354347
Abstract: A vacuum system which uses water as a filtration medium to effectively capture dirt and dust particles. The vacuum system uses a canister or tank, which can be placed on a wheeled mobile frame for mobility. Within the tank, a removeable insert includes a number of equally spaced annular plates with a first of the annular plates fitting snugly against the outside wall of the tank and the next plate fitting snugly against the outside wall of a central cylindrical column. The plates then continue to alternate from outside wall of the tank to the outside wall of the column to form alternating gaps and, thus, a serpentine airflow path. The bottom portion of the tank is filled with a quantity of water sufficient to cover the bottom of an air intake port. A blower draws air, along with accompanying debris, from the intake port through the water.

  • Patent number: 5320699
Abstract: An apparatus for selectively attaching strips of an encodable material bearing a heat activatable adhesive to a document or for removing the strips therefrom generally comprises a strip attachment assembly and a strip removal assembly. The attachment assembly includes a set of document feed rollers and strip feed rollers which deliver the documents and the strips to an alignment subassembly where the document and the strip are properly aligned. A cutter cuts the strip to match the length of the document and the aligned document and strip pass by a heater which heats the heat activatable adhesive. The strip secured to the document by the heat activatable adhesive is sealed thereto by a pair of sealing rollers. The strip removal assembly comprises a passageway having a heater extending along one side and an obstruction extending across a portion of the passageway.

  • Patent number: 5249823
Abstract: A cart comprises a load carrying bed, a front wheel carriage, a rear wheel carriage and a handle. The bed telescopes longitudinally to allow for loads of different lengths which are positionable directly upon the bed. A pair of front side arms and a pair of rear side arms are also telescopingly received relative to the bed and are adjustable laterally to provide for loads having different widths. The cart is collapsible into a low profile configuration for transport or storage.

  • Patent number: 4756520
Abstract: A transfer mechanism cooperates with an envelope insertion machine and a postage metering machine to transfer an envelope between the insertion and postage metering machines while rotating the envelope 180.degree. and weighing the envelope such that the metering machine applies proper postage thereto. A drive mechanism allows independent control of rollers for transferring an envelope into a transfer cage of the transfer mechanism, rotation of the cage and subsequent reverse rotation of the rollers to discharge the envelope. Braking and locking devices are provided with the drive mechanism to ensure proper position of the cage. The cage is constructed to receive an envelope in either of opposite ends.
