Abstract: A bicycle transport rack for connection to a vehicle hitch and holding one or more bicycles having a hitch connection end and an outwardly extending extender bar from which mounting rod assemblies extend vertically. A bicycle is mounted in an upside down position on the rack by placing the bicycle seat mounting tube over and around the mounting rod assemblies. The bicycle is held onto the mounting rod assembly by lengthwise compression and outward expansion of expandable flanges against the internal surface of the bicycle seat mounting tube.
