Abstract: A convertible chair and ironing board apparatus for transforming a straight-back chair into an ironing board. The apparatus includes a chair having front legs and rear legs for supporting a chair seat thereon. The apparatus also includes a back support section for receiving a back support member thereon. The back support member is pivotally connected to the back support section about a pair of back support pivot members so that the back support member can rotatably pivot 270° from a vertical position as a back support for the chair to a horizontal position to function as an ironing board. The chair seat has a movable seat section that is pivotally connected to the chair seat about a pair of seat pivot members, and the seat section is movable from a horizontal seat position about the seat pivot members to a vertical support position for supporting a lower section of the back support member in a horizontal position to function as an ironing board.
