Abstract: A fitting (11) for connecting a tube (17) in fluid flow communication with a hose end (13) having a distal collar (12) provided with a plurality of through holes (19 and 20) extending parallel to the hose end axis. The fitting includes an annular flange (15) having a central bore (21) for receiving the distal end of the tube. The flange includes a threaded hole (26) aligned with a first (19) of the collar holes, and a second, through hole (20) aligned with a second of the collar holes. The fitting further includes an annular clamp (16) for supporting the tube end axially outwardly of the flange and including a pair of clamp halves (32 and 33) with one of the halves (32) being secured to the flange by a bolt (40) extending through the collar and flange. The other of the clamp halves (33) is secured to the first clamp half by bolts (36) extending through at least one of the clamp halves.

Abstract: A hitch assembly for a vehicle having a rearwardly extended frame adapted to be contacted by a trailing vehicle and including brackets mounted on the frame operative when the vehicle is being pushed to provide a stop against overriding of the trailing vehicle relative to the frame. A connector member is removably associated with the frame and has releasable connection to the brackets thereon for converting the frame to a towing mode.

Abstract: A method of separating a fitting from a tube which is mechanically joined to the fitting includes collapsing the tube between a pair of die members positioned adjacent the fitting and thereafter removing the fitting from the collapsed tube.

Abstract: An improved bail for a push-pull scraper includes a straight tubular members having a plurality of longitudinal slots provided in the ends thereof, and curved members having end portions of reduced diameter and having longitudinal ridges provided thereon whereby the ends of the curved members will fit telescopically within the ends of the straight members with the longitudinal ridges disposed within the slots in the straight members for extended welding thereof.

Abstract: A roller mounting includes an elongated shaft having an end rotatably and slidably disposed within a bore formed in a mounting bracket, and a roller rotatably mounted on an eccentric portion provided on the other end of the shaft. The shaft is retained in the bore by a device which may be rotated in unison with the shaft to cause lateral movement of the roller relative to the bracket without imparting axial movement to the roller and which may be rotated relative to the shaft to cause axial movement of the shaft for moving the roller in an axial direction independently of the lateral adjustment.
