Patent number: 11176578Abstract: An online social network is provided. A sentiment is determined for each of a plurality of users of an online social network (OSN) in relation to a first product. A category is determined for each of the plurality of users based, at least in part, on the sentiment of each of the plurality of users, respectively. A group including a first user and a second user of the plurality of users is generated based, at least in part, on the category of each of the first user and the second user and a relationship within the OSN between the first user and the second user. An advertisement is presented to the first user. An indication is presented to the first user that the advertisement is also presented to the second user.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2019Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Paul B. Patent number: 9922521Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a method, system and computer program product for detecting isolated group members. The method includes defining in memory of a master computer, a group of individuals each with a corresponding one of a multiplicity of registered mobile devices. The method also includes collecting in the master computer geographic location data for each of the mobile devices along with an effective line of sight with others of the individuals. The method yet further includes computing a coefficient of isolation for each of the individuals based upon the collected geographic location data and the determination of an absence or presence of an effective line of sight with different other individuals in the group, each of the coefficients indicating a degree of isolation of a corresponding one of the individuals. Finally, the method includes storing the coefficients in a table.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2017Date of Patent: March 20, 2018Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Paul French, Jack Healy, Niall Lucey

Patent number: 9667659Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for determining security factors associated with an operating environment for a computer through a wireless network. The computer identifies one or more local computers operating within range of wireless communications to the computer through a wireless network. The computer determines a current operating environment corresponding to the one or more identified local computers. The computer determines a current security value for the current operating environment corresponding to identities and security of the identified local computers. The computer identifies data corresponding to the current operating environment, the data corresponding to a current time period of the current operating environment.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2015Date of Patent: May 30, 2017Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Paul B. Patent number: 5727449Abstract: An automatic basting roaster including a main roasting pan, a basting pan disposed in the roasting pan, and a rack holding a roast removably mounted on the basting pan. A drip pan is supported above the rack and the area in the roasting pan between the basting pan and the bottom of the roasting pan acts as a valve controlled basting fluid supply chamber sealed off from the atmosphere except for tubing extending into the liquid therein opening a short distance above the bottom of the roasting pan and opening above and onto the top of the drip pan.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 1997Date of Patent: March 17, 1998Inventors: Jack Healy, Gregg A. Patent number: 5520105Abstract: A combination can crusher, juicer and slicer having a main housing with a vertically adjustable cutting blade holder or can holder and a ratcheted lever adapted to raise and lower a pressure plate into contact with either a can disposed in the holder or a cutting blade retained in the holder. Moving the pressure plate, which will vary depending on the operation desired, downwardly against a can disposed in the holder crushes the same. Moving the pressure plate downwardly against a mating cutting blade cuts a fruit or vegetable therebetween. Moving the pressure plate downwardly against a mating juicer assembly juices a vegetable or fruit disposed therebetween and juices the same.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 1994Date of Patent: May 28, 1996Inventor: Jack Healy

Patent number: 5345630Abstract: A self-inflatable air mattress having a built-in bellows. A portion of the air mattress support is manually moved up and down actuating the bellows to introduce air into the mattress. The air inlet is of large area and a substantial amount of air is introduced upon each manual actuation of the support. A valve may be associated with the bellows and air inlet to selectively reverse the air flow so that the air mattress can be quickly deflated, if desired.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 1993Date of Patent: September 13, 1994Inventor: Jack Healy
