Abstract: An identity management system may receive one or more signals associated with a sign-in to a first application via a first user profile of an organization of the identity management system. The first application may be disassociated with first applications having been authorized access by an administrator of the organization via the identity management system. The identity management system may generate a report indicative of second applications accessed via user profiles of the organization, user profiles that accessed the second applications, and a timestamp of access to the second applications by each of the user profiles, where the second applications include the first application, and where the user profiles include the first user profile. The identity management system may perform an application management operation associated with an application of the second applications, a user profile of the user profiles, or both based on generating the report.

Abstract: Searching data for a user includes searching a first set of data that is directly accessible to the user to provide a first set of search results, searching a second set of data that is not directly accessible to the user to provide a second set of search results, comparing the search results, and, if at least a portion of the second set of search results is better than the first set of search results, causing the portion to be provided to the user. Causing the portion to be provided to the user may include obtaining permission from an entity that controls permissions to the portion of the second set. The entity that controls permissions to the portion of the second set may be an owner of the portion. The first set of data may be determined based on credentials and sharing permissions of the user.

Abstract: Presenting items in a two-dimensional access pane includes presenting a first set of icons arranged contiguously and in two dimensions of the access pane, where each of the icons corresponds to an item and at least some of the items are container icons that represent containers that contain other items and expanding at least one of the container icons to show a first container pane having icons corresponding to items contained in a corresponding container, where icons in the first container pane are arranged contiguously and in two dimensions of the first container pane. At least some of the icons in the first container pane may be container icons that represent containers that contain other items. The items may be files in a file system provided in connection with a personal computer that runs Macintosh OS, MS Windows, and Linux. The items may be data in a database system.

Abstract: Presenting content includes selecting a subset of content items from a content collection, where at least some of the subset of content items includes a plurality of objects selected from the group of categories consisting of: text, images, web clips, HTML clips, audio clips, video clips, links to external web content, document attachments, and multimedia attachments and includes displaying content items from the subset of content items on a presentation screen, where intelligent navigation facilitates scanning through objects included with each of the content items. The intelligent navigation may use a dedicated button, a keyboard shortcut and/or a multi-touch gesture for scanning through objects. The intelligent navigation may allow scrolling through objects by category. Presenting content may also include automatically forming a first cover note having a first table of contents listing titles of at least a first portion of the subset of content items and corresponding links thereto.
