  • Patent number: 10367596
Abstract: A multiple wavelength selective switch has an optics assembly to receive a first input optical signal from a first ingress port and a second input optical signal from a second ingress port. A switch assembly has a single switching mechanism to direct the first input optical signal to the optics assembly as a first output optical signal and the second input optical signal to the optics assembly as a second output optical signal. The switch assembly directs the first output optical signal to a first egress port selected from the first set of egress ports and directs the second output optical signal to a second egress port selected from the second set egress ports. The first egress port and the second egress port have the same wavelength channel. The multiple wavelength selective switch supports an arbitrary number of wavelength channels that can be switched at the same time. Each switch assembly directs signals from a set of ingress ports to a set of egress ports sharing the same wavelength channel.

  • Publication number: 20080296143
Abstract: Plasma systems with magnetic filter devices to alter film deposition/etching characteristics by altering the effective magnetic field distribution. The magnetic filter devices are placed between the magnet or magnets and a target, typically a semiconductor wafer, and selected and configured to alter the magnetic field to obtain the desired processing results. For deposition, the magnetic filter may be chosen to provide more uniform deposition, to provide increased deposition rates at or adjacent the edges of a wafer to compensate for increased etching rates at the edges of a wafer in a subsequent etching or polishing process. For annealing and doping, the magnetic field may be altered to provide more uniform equivalent annealing or doping across the wafer. Various applications are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070071801
Abstract: A patch, or bandage for treating skin infections has a backing with pressure-sensitive adhesive for securing on a user's skin in the area of the boil. A liquid absorbent member is positioned in the center of the patch, while a carrier with a medicinal formulation, comprising a menthol solution, surrounds the absorbent member. The medicinal substance is covered with one or more concentric removable covers, which are peeled off depending on the size of the boil. The menthol solution forms a barrier preventing bacteria from expanding the boil. Once the boil drains, the exudates is absorbed by the absorbent member.
