  • Publication number: 20260200195
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods used to accurately and/or precisely calender materials and films (e.g., dry electrode materials and/or dry electrode films), and systems thereof, are described. These devices, systems and methods measure thicknesses of films on the calender rollers and/or adjust bulging of calender rollers. Such disclosures may enable active control and/or adjustment of the calendering system in order to more accurately and/or precisely control and/or adjust the thicknesses, densities and/or loadings of films.

  • Publication number: 20260131368
Abstract: Generally described, one or more aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems, methods, and devices for trimming and peeling electrode films. The system can be integrated into a calender rolling system and can create multi-lane films with clean edge quality for lamination. The system can include a trimming device including a cutting device, and a material removing device positioned downstream from the cutting device, the material removing device including a scraper element, a support element positioned upstream from the scraper element, and a vacuum element.

  • Publication number: 20260108943
Abstract: A powder dispensing apparatus having an elongate wedge-shaped hopper including one or more fluidized plates is described. The powder dispensing apparatus can be positioned above a pair of calender rolls to distribute a powder, such as a dry electrode material onto the calender rolls. Such fluidized wedge shaped hopper advantageously allows for an accurate and/or controlled rate of powder distribution across or substantially across the length of a calender roll.
