Abstract: A convertible harness system to be worn by a child or other person including a harness having a waist-encircling band and shoulder straps. A seat may be detachably suspended from the harness and includes a seat pad which extends between the legs of the wearer. The seat assembly may be removed for washing or in the event it is not necessary. The wearer may be guided and supported by handles or loops slidably secured to the shoulder straps. An optional tether may also be secured to the shoulder straps to restrain and control the wearer.
