  • Patent number: 9311260
Abstract: A microarchitecture can be configured to allow a thread's speculative state to be stored when the thread is preempted. The stored speculative state can then be loaded back into the microarchitecture when the thread is resumed to thereby enable the thread to resume execution at the speculative state that existed when the thread was preempted. By maintaining the speculative state of threads, a greater amount of parallel processing is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20090155471
Abstract: The invention is an apparatus and method for coating straw with fertilizers, preservatives and/or colorants to extend the useful life of and add aesthetic properties to pine straw. The invention comprises the steps of providing a drying chamber, collecting straw, placing the straw into windrows within the drying chamber, providing a means for simultaneously fluffing and coating the straw, fluffing and coating the, and then drying the straw inside the drying chamber until the coating is dry. The means for simultaneously fluffing and coating the straw is an apparatus that features a fluffing system, a coating system, and an application chamber all of which may be powered and operated via a standard farm tractor with hydraulic ports and power take-off connections. The apparatus is designed to fluff the straw within an application chamber wherein the coating is simultaneously applied to the tossed and, thereby, temporarily suspended pine straw.

  • Publication number: 20070164069
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a cargo carrier for attaching to a vehicle. The cargo carrier includes a base and first and second wing assemblies. Each wing assembly has an extended position, an intermediate position, and a retracted position, and a locking mechanism secures the first and second wing assemblies in the intermediate position. In the retracted position, the wing assemblies may occupy a smaller volume than in the extended position. The cargo carrier may further include a cargo bag configured to fit on the base when the first and second wing assemblies are in the intermediate position. The cargo carrier may further include a mount connected to the base for attaching the base to the vehicle. The mount can be configured to connect to drawbars having a variety of widths.
