  • Patent number: 11707693
Abstract: Described is a wind-up ride on toy with wind-up mechanism to propel a rider. The ride on toy comprises a body portion having a seat portion. A first axle is rotatably connected with the body portion, while a pair of wheels are connected with the first axle. The wind-up mechanism has an elastic band and a rotatable spool. The elastic band is fixed at a first end within the body portion and is attached with the rotatable spool at a second end. Additionally, the rotatable spool is operably connected with the first axle, such that winding the elastic band around the spool causes the elastic band to transition from a relaxed state to a stretched state and, upon allowing the elastic band to return to the relaxed state, the spool rotates the first axle and pair of wheels, thereby causing the wind-up ride on toy to propel forward.

  • Patent number: 7789728
Abstract: Described is a toy vehicle adapter that includes at least one motorized wheel for attaching with a non-motorized toy vehicle. The adapter includes a housing with an attachment apparatus that is formed to attach with the toy vehicle. A receiver is included that is capable of receiving a wireless signal to actuate the motor. When connected with the toy vehicle, the motor may be activated to engage with the wheel and thereby force the toy vehicle across a surface. Thus, the adapter is formed to convert a non-motorized toy vehicle into a remotely-controlled motorized vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7097375
Abstract: A mechanical pencil is described. The mechanical pencil includes a grip barrel with a slide member to hold a piece of lead. A wheel is rotatably mounted in the grip barrel around a wheel axis, such that a portion of the wheel extends through and beyond an opening in the grip barrel. A gear is attached with the wheel for sliding the slide member that is slide-ably disposed within the grip barrel. A chuck is connected with the slide member such that a user may roll the wheel to force the chuck to push lead from the lead chamber and out of the grip barrel, thereby allowing the user to control advancement of the lead from the mechanical pencil.

  • Publication number: 20060099879
Abstract: A toy comprises a housing connected with a launcher to rotate and launch an object. The launcher comprises a driving element to form a drive connection with a receiving element on the object. The launcher is connected with a launcher rotating system, which imparts a rotary movement to the launcher. When the launcher ceases to accelerate the object, the receiving element disengages from the drive connection and launches the object. In one aspect, the launcher rotating system is a gear train capable of being rotated by a gear rack pulled by a user. The toy also includes a water spray mechanism to spray water proximate the object to give the appearance of the object spraying the water.
