  • Publication number: 20240093581
Abstract: An oil production system and method. The system includes a system for heating unrecovered oil. The system includes a chemical injection well having at least one subterranean outlet. The system also includes an oil production well with at least one subterranean inlet. The subterranean outlet is lower in elevation than the at least one inlet. The chemical injection well is coupled to an injected reactant source, and wherein said injected reactant source reacts with a second reactant in an exothermic reaction.

  • Publication number: 20230130169
Abstract: A system and method for harnessing geothermal energy using fracturing of hot rock. The system has at least a first well and a second well. The method involves introducing an alkali metal downhole in a first well. A solution is also introduced into the first well. The solution produces an exothermic reaction with the alkali metal. The gas and heat fracture the hot rock producing fractures. The fractures fluidly connects the first well to the second well. A solution, such as water, can be pumped through the first well, through the fractures, and into the second well. The hot rock passes geothermal energy to the water which can then be utilized.

  • Patent number: 4321737
Abstract: The tool includes a rotatable shank having a guide member releasably mounted upon its lower portion and adapted to be closely received within the muzzle portion of a gun barrel, and further includes a file member projecting radially outwardly from a medial portion of the shank and rotatable in unison with it. The file member overlies and engages the muzzle end surfaces of the barrel and, upon rotation of the shank of the tool, it "squares" and otherwise finishes such surfaces. The means by which the file member is mounted preferably is of a releasable type that includes a supportive backing member. The extent of the radial projection of the file member from the shank preferably is such that when the tool is used in association with a double-barreled firearm, it simultaneously finishes all of the muzzle end surfaces thereof.

  • Patent number: 4283873
Abstract: Sliding movement of the trigger guard of the firearm controls desired aspects of the operation of its firing and breech-locking mechanisms. Improvements are provided in a firing mechanism of the type that is maintained in a cocked condition by a toggle linkage; and in the breech-mounting, shell-extracting, cocking and breech-locking mechanisms of a firearm of the side-opening type.
