In some embodiments, a method comprises receiving user queries containing authority keywords and relevancy keywords and ranking a set of search results on the basis of the authority of the authors of entries within the search results. The authority of each author is expressed in an authority quotient which is calculated by determining an authority keyword score, a name score, a domain name score and a credential score based on the authority keyword provided by the user.
